QUESTIONS REGARDING PUPPY BEHAVIORAL CONCERNS (less than 4 mos of age) are better placed in the Main Forum or the Puppy Madness Groups. Once our Doodles reach the age of four to five months, they are ready to begin their obedience training, and this is the place to share experiences.
I STARTED A NEW CGC COLLAGE, BECAUSE WHEN I ADDED JACK DOODLE AND JAKE THE PICTURES BECAME TOO SMALL TO REALLY SEE....SO NOW WE HAVE PLENTY OF ROOM FOR MORE CGC GRADS!!!!!

So, the Rally people suggested to me that I should enter Maggie in the show that's coming up at the end of August. They have Rally on Friday, so we could actually do that one day. But I'm looking at…Continue

This week Willow has decided that sitting for exam is terrifying. We've practiced. She will sit and let me go over her like a champ. Feet, ears, tail, teeth. No problem. But when the instructor bent…Continue

I have a 12 week old ALD "grand dog" that visits frequently. Oliver is 8 and tolerates the puppy play fine with no issues at all. Ivy on the other hand was a bit stand offish (as she is with all…Continue

Deeann, it's hard to guess what is going on but it could have been an incredibly stressful day for your pup. She is pretty young and being away from home and thrown into an environment with strange dogs for 7 hours is a lot to deal with. Unless you see other signs of physical illness, give her time to relax. It could take a couple of days for her adrenaline level to normalize.
FWIW, I took one of my doodles to day care when he was young and he really did not like it. He loved meeting other dogs but didn't like being away from home. I watched him on the doggie cam and he just paced the whole time. When I picked him up after his third visit, he vomited before getting into the car. That was his last time.
I took my 4 month old Goldendoodle to an upscale training/dog resort in our town for a play day to see determine if it is a good fit for her. She was there from 10:00 to 5:00, and I left her usual food and treats. When I picked her up she seemed listless and "not herself". I just thought she had played too hard and long, but when we got home, she began to retch and look really ill. She didn't throw up, but continued to look and act exhausted. At one point, she flew off the bed barking and growling like a maniac. She has never shown this kind of behavior before. Has anyone had a similar experience? I left a message for the activity director to call me back, but have not heard from her yet.
Love it!
That is so cute!
If you have Facebook, here is a video to counterbalance the Golden's obedience one. The owner/trainer is 16 years old. Enjoy.

Well, I know the humans will fail... ;)
