Thinking about grooming your own doodle? I suggest it highly. And, since you are a hair stylist, it will come naturally. We have always groomed our own doodles. My husband and I are both retired, so we take all the time we need and actually do the grooming in stages. It takes the two of us about 3 days for a total groom. Take a look at our dogs on my page.
Aw, sorry to hear about the mishap at the groomers. Where did you go? (If you'd rather just send the name to me in a private message that is fine - I just wondered so I could stay clear). On the positive side, I see you can at least get them into the barber chair so that should make it easy for you to do the head and face!
Elly is doing well. She weighs 34 pounds. We just had her yearly check and all is well. We are going through the coat change and that is challenging. I comb and brush her at least every other day. She is getting groomed on Thursday and I am ready for some of her coat to be cut. She is such a great dog and great companion.
Good to hear from you.
Licks from Elly to Cheech and hope he is doing well,
Pat
Keep in touch.

How is Cheech doing?
Elly is great. She weighs 31 pounds. She hasn't grown much for awhile. What a good friend!!! We just got her groomed on Friday and what a change. I will post those today if possile.
Glad to hear Cheech is doing well. Did his coat get OK. Last I heard he was loosing hair?
Pat
I see that you've been talking about shiny coats and thought I'd tell you that the breeder we got Ollie from told us to give him a can of sardines once a week instead of the raw meat we usually give him. If not she said she gives her dogs cod liver capsules twice a week. His coat is pretty good.
Ollie is 9 months now and weighs just under 20kg which is 44pounds. I think (hope...) he is pretty much at full height and may just fill out a bit.....
See ya, Sam
I bought the "green" les pooches - I think it is the softest, dont remember but know the colors signify the firmness of the bristle. I dont get any hair in the brush unless I am untangling a mat, so it is very little. I'll bet the hair color change you are seeing is part of adolescence and will go away when he finishes this change over. Or maybe buddy is alittle behiind?
Bud seems to still be the same color which maybe is the way it works with the apricots? We shall see. I give him a bath at home about every other week so he gets used to it, and he seems to like it. Darned if he is skinny under all that hair! His nose is changing and getting really rosy, that must be part of this phase too, and we are losing lots of teeth :)
I am not sure how much she weighs now. I do know that she has gotten a lot bigger in the last 2-3 weeks. I do not own a scales and I need to get one. I imagine she weighs 18-19 pounds. I will let you know as soon as I purchase a scale. I
How is Cheech doing? Elly hasn't lost any teeth. Oh for the days when the sharp baby teeth are gone!!! Is Cheech in classes yet. I actually think we are the ones that need the training. Is Cheech totally house trained yet? We still have an accident at least once a week. I do think these dogs are so smart thought. Elly will learn something after about one session.
Take care and keep me posted on Cheech.
