Ruff, the phantom labradoodle (F1b) Ruff now sadly waiting at the Bridge with Barney.

His father is a phantom poodle and his mother a goldendoodle. Therefore, he is 3/4 poodle. We did start with poodles, and went to doodles about 8 years ago when our shepherd died and the poodle was distraught. He needed a puppy and I saw labradoodles and thought that was the dog for me. We have had three doodles now (labradoodle, goldendoodle, and now ALD). We went to the ALD because of the size. He is about 40 pounds and much shorter than the other two were. I think he is more the size of your labradoodle. They are such great dogs.
