- Update: Willa Bean Couch was born June 4, 2013, we chose her on July 5, and we picked her up on July 30! She is perfect!!!
I put down a deposit on an Australian Labradoodle in January of 2013 and am expecting her any day now. She is not yet conceived, but I have been preparing for her for 4 years now!
- What Type of Doodle(s) do you have? What are their names? Tell us about your doodle(s) or any other pets you have!
- Australian Labradoodle brown fleece medium female from Austin Labradoodles in Austin, TX - Anita Main breeder.
- Where did you get your doodle(s)?
- Breeder
- Why did you choose a doodle rather than another breed or mix?
- I had a chocolate lab as my companion for 10 years. She was a re-home and was the absolute best. However, she had terrible allergies including (and not limited to) me (human dander), protein, corn, oak, pine, etc, etc, etc!
I chose labradoolde to hopefully get the awesome personality without the horrible allergies.
- What are Your Favorite Things to Do With Your Doodles?
- I am currently planning to train for a therapy dog.
I love working with geritrics and most specifically individuals with dementia. I hope she will love this as much as I do. If not, then I will love her anyway!
I will enjoy her companionship, walking with her, and playing fetch.
- Who grooms your doodle(s)?
- She is supposed to be a low shedding doodle. I plan to groom her regularly myself and take her to a groomer in Hattiesburg, MS once per month.
- Favorite Doodle Products?
- This is one reason I am joining the forum.......to find out products that are recommended!

Welcome to the Australian Labradoodle group. I received an e-mail that you were a new member, but if I don't write it down, I forget who is the new member. You might leave a message on the group page saying that you are the new member. Congratulations on your decision to join us with a ALD puppy. My ALD is three years old now and a definite joy, but a handful. Take a look at the photos on my profile page. Harpo (our ALD) is our third doodle. They are the best.
It's so nice to be friends with you on DK! Post pictures as soon as you get your Doodle! They are just the best dogs ever and so loving. I can only imagine how excited you are:)
