Pet parents are quite similar to Mom’s and Dad’s of two legged lil’ people. We love to share information, adore fawning over each other’s furbabies, and can “sniff” each other out of a crowd like nobodies business!

Early on in my pet blogging life, I met (thru social media) Lonnie – another “Doodle Mom.” For months we have communicated regularly about Harley, Leo, and her cutie pie “Libby Lu.”

No matter how much you love something – separation and/or distance can be healthy from time to time. The same holds true for me when it comes to “The Boys.” No one who reads our stories could dispute my unconditional love for these two creatures, but at least once or twice a year I must vanish to “replenish.”

DD (Doodle Daughter) is my “escape from Doodleville.”. Although she lives only a mere 41 miles away, weeks will sometimes add up…

This morning’s walk was the best!  Talk about a strange occurrence? We had a breeze in the air! While the leaves on the trees swayed back and forth, Harley pranced, Leo strutted and I whistled a tune with an extra pep in my step at the crack of dawn! Could this mean the dreaded “heatwave”has ended?

Since the weather was pawsitively pawfect, I grabbed my keys, my liquid fuel (coffee) and we headed over to OTPR for an early romp through the…

It’s the 5th week, our 3rd class, and we’ve had 3 #secret, #remedial, #catchup sessions in between.

Saturday’s class was distinct because:

1. It wasn’t raining – class was cancelled last week due to rain
2. It wasn’t hot as “purgatory” outside – unbearable temps of late
3. The other pupils didn’t show up so it was only Leo & the Doodle Whisperer - ”ruv” the one on…

I feel like I’m never satisfied! By mid January I’m fantasizing about July, the sun, tank tops and flip flops. Today, I’m dreaming of a “White Christmas” – go figure…

Temperatures in this region are relentless. For the past several days now we’ve been knocking previous temperature records out of the proverbial park! This is what’s become our “new normal”……

I cannot tell a lie – when my head hit the pillow Monday night, I said a little prayer asking to hear a thunderstorm in the morning. When I woke, I did my best rain dance EVER as I sauntered over towards the window. The streets were dog-bone dry…

As we returned from our morning walk, a few raindrops started to hit my shoulder, nothing worthy of any rain gear, but my immediate thought was… “Oh well! it’s raining, we can’t go!”

Hi, it’s me “Harley!”  – and it’s my fault this weeks post is a little tardy.

I asked DM (Doodle Mom) if I could tell my own doodle version about this past holiday weekend, She said “sure Harls” (she calls me “Harls” when I’m acting cute and irresistible). I’m somewhat slow on the keyboard, that’s why this edition of the “Doodle Daily” is so late……

Our June Bark Box came the other week. Much to our dismay, we didn’t have a “Gold Bone”inside, therefore we aren’t traveling to NYC compliments of Scout and the Bark Box team. None the less, we had a blast making the video and sharing our humorous moments with you!

The Boys however, were super excited with the aroma coming from the box because it held all the trimmings and fixings for a great 4th of July pupnic……

After the disaster on Saturday (see “Agility Training – Going Backwards”), I took the advice of the instructor and made arrangements to bring Leo back to the outdoor training area on Tuesday to run through some of the equipment he was introduced to on his first day of training.
