Oh dear... DH has puppy fever. Bad. We've always felt like we are a 2-dog household, but now is not the time DH.. our 2-legged baby is only 2 months old! Here is a shameless picture of our cutie:
(removed)
DH isn't the type to run out and buy a puppy on a whim thank goodness.. but he has started researching breeds! He seems to have maybe settled on a mini Australian Shepherd. He's even "settled" on a brown one, something like this. …

Okay – will someone out there pawease help me? Can you tell me where to buy costumes for large dogs?
The Boys and I called ourselves being “proactive” in preparation for their “howl-o-ween” pawty atOlde Towne Pet Resort. Twice a year, their furrendly furrends at OTPR co-host a doodle romp with Harley & Leo. This is our last one for 2013 and we have a…

This is how Lola likes to wake Esau up each morning. Sometimes it goes on for five or ten minutes until he finally gets up.

Had some fun since Halloween is just around the corner! Puppies are now growing fast and will play and walk around for several minutes at a time--so fun to see them growing up!
And in case I have not mentioned it, my dog Lyric is having her last litter in just 27 days! She is getting pretty round already!…

We are really looking forward to Sunday! Duncan and I had such a nice time last year when we did the Paws for the Cause walk, and I know we will this year too. Not only is it a great cause, but it is also a chance to score some really neat dog swag from local vendors. Last year we picked up a handmade braided leash that is super comfortable, a $10 antler, and a few doggie baked goods. Hopefully we'll meet some local doodles too!
Duncan is doing really well with the photo…

My 14 month Mariella tries to play with our doodle Baila. After several attempts of trying to get away, she gets away for good.

Happy Columbus Day, everyone! This holiday has always held a special spot in my heart because in years past my birthday often fell on this day. This year though my birthday was actually on a Tuesday, October 8th, to be exact. We were fortunate to celebrate with Jeff's parents with a big fat red velvet cake lovingly baked by Momeaux, of course.…

This is our lucky Sunday! That’s right, tonight we’re your “Doodle Bloggers.”
It’s been quite some time since we’ve been able to contribute something. So when Leo eyed DM(Doodle Mom) “chillin” in the sunroom, he seized the moment. He got right up on her and said,“take it easy tonight, Harley an I – we got this one”...…

I just have to share this story about Libby. Every single day this Doodle amazes and convinces us they are so human. Last night we were watching Parenthood and Libby was playing on the floor with her toy bag she dearly loves. She pulls the toy bag to the middle of the room and then takes each toy out separately and plays with the basket having a wonderful time.
Towards the end of the show the Father and Mother of the family were sitting in their backyard reminiscing about their…

The last time I joined Weight Watchers I lasted four days on the diet. I could have gone longer, but my family begged me to quit. Apparently they did not like my attitude and they liked even less my comments about the food I was eating. I get surly and mean when I am on a diet and I am just as…

On Saturday evening, Jeff and his parents, along with extended family, watched Notre Dame play Arizona in Dallas. I, however, did not join but instead stayed home to watch the boys -- Milton and Dusty, Pop and Momeaux's nine-year-old bichon frise. He and Milt are not exactly the best of friends, but Milt does show Dusty some amount of respect, usually, because Dusty is his uncle, after all...

We have just received an owner surrendered Shih-Tsu who (we are assured by the owner) had an affair with a Maltese. She is very-very pregnant and the owner realized that as a singe working female, she couldn't whelp the puppies and care for the mom and pups...
Her name is Mikka and she seems quite healthy and well cared for (except that she was not spayed when she should have been). But, that's the story of many rescues...…

Harley & Leo have never been in a plane, which has made me wonder, if they could fly… would they?
This has been a debate with longtime anipal Col (RET) Richard Smith, who for decades, flew B51/B52 bomber jets for the Airforce, and has been a CIRRUS owner for more than 10 years……

Charlotte turned 1 on September 21. My how time flies when you are having fun! Life has been going well, just super busy balancing work with home life. The dogs are doing GREAT. We have really been working with them on training and Taquito has not been aggressive toward Charlotte at all lately. If she approaches him and he's not in the mood, we have taught him to walk away and he gets a LOT of praise when he does that. Last week, she came up and I asked Taquito if Charlotte could pet…
