The Potty Crisis!

Darwin has always been good about going potty quickly. He even does it on command most of the time. But he does not like this snow one bit. I honestly don't remember having this big of a problem last winter. When we take him out it will be 20 minutes of standing there (It's always been less than 5 minutes in the past) and he won't even go! He doesn't seem nervous, just continuously sniffs around and circles but never goes.

The National Dog Show

As many of you know on Thanksgiving, the National Dog Show airs. I always enjoy watching dog shows, as I just love all dog breeds! It's a good time to brush up on your dog breed knowledge and fun to see all of the variety. Well, I re-watched it with Darwin tonight and he loved it! He sat and watched many of the dogs. Blizzard Preparations. I'M ALIVE! LOL

From 5:30 tonight until afternoon tomorrow, there is a blizzard warning for my city. Everyone is closing businesses and being sent home from work early. All college classes are cancelled, etc. DH is being sent home by his employer at 3pm. Power outages are expected, and could last hours into the night. The power company issued a warning saying that everyone should have food prepared or can openers, as well as matches and a lot of blankets. I have gathered some flashlights, candles,…

SNOW!

It snowed overnight! I am getting so excited. Thanksgiving is next week, my tree is up, I have bought Darwin a bunch of great Christmas presents, and it snowed. Yay! It started snowing last night and we woke up to about a foot and a half, deeper in some places. Intelligence Testing

DH and I were bored last night, and after looking at that hilarious blog post that was linked to last night, I started wondering if Darwin was "simple minded". I was looking up some tests you could do and decided to try them out on Darwin. These probably aren't legitimate tests... but it was fun anyways.

Funny Face Take Two

Thank you all SO much for your comments on my last blog post. I realized pretty quickly that you were all right on the money. I think I was shocked when I saw him because he looked fluffy and groomed and I wasn't used to it. But the more I look at him the more I see how good the cut was. She cut his face to the length I requested but still managed to keep his shaggy look. His cut is extremely even and he feels very soft. I am feeling much better about it now. Mr. Funny Face

I previously blogged about the Halloween party we took Darwin to. Well, while we were there we won a free grooming, full service. Of course, this doesn't mean hand scissoring, just a shave.This is pretty awesome, considering that most groomers charge 65 plus dollars for a dog of Darwin's size! I always groom him myself, because I want to save money, I have been quoted over 40 dollars for a simple bath and brush!
