Labradoodle & Goldendoodle Forum
I just wanted to let everyone know that Gracie Doodle is back to being her Doodle Self! She is walking just fine and we are letting her do a little bit of low chasing of her tennis ball. Just no high Chuck-Its yet. We want to thank you for all of your posts of concern and best wishes. Now we all need to send them to Karen and Jackdoodle who need it the most. What a wonderful Doodle family we all have!!! THANK YOU

I am talking about me... yes me, the girl who was just hog tied to a bed for a week with a breathing tube shoved down my throat, a collapsed lung, and pneumonia, The girl who has to do 18 hours of IV therapy a day until further notice. Hours of breathing treatments, The girl with two college degrees but on Medicaid and living mostly off her family...
In the bible it says where sin abounds, grace abounds even more.. or something close to that..... I will tell you that for me…

I am the worst doodle mom!! I forgot my own furkids birthday was today!!! I actually thought is was tomorrow. So no photo montage this year or songs of endearment. But hard to believe the boy is all grown up and not a puppy anymore... but who are we kidding... This is Bandit we are talking about the quintessential puppy! He will never grow up!
A video taken yesterday at the park:…

Guinness and Murph are both ALDs.....true Guinness is a mini, and Murph is a big guy, but they're both ALDs. I was thinking today that they are as different as day and night. Here are a few examples of what I mean...
Last night I gave each of them a marrow bone. Guinness took it right to his downstairs bed and dug in. Murph kind of dragged it around for a while, and then settled on the foyer rug with it. Guinness went first for the little pieces of meat on the outside and…

I got a little behind on puppy news--mostly because I have been busy housebreaking the last two! So, here is the latest. Daisy, who will keep her name, went hom on Monday, Nov 28th--she is doing well and has twin boys to play with--here is a picture of mom and dad and then one with the boys. She looks worried, but that is her natural expression!…

I can't believe it...I have been watching all the reports of the Doodles getting sick and everyone is having trouble trying to figure out what is wrong with them. Now, this morning Gracie (who likes to sleep in late) jumped off our bed and came limping down the hall to the kitchen where we were sitting. I immediately had her lay down and I checked her back paws and pads for some type of injury or something stuck in her paw. I was decorating the tree last night and thought maybe she…

Boy, these last 3 years have just flown by!!! My mother used to say that when you get old are mature time passes REALLY fast so I guess I have officially arrived!!
Okay this year I am not going to extol Tara's virtues as I normally do because now I realize that I am preaching to the choir!! You ALL know how GREAT it is to live with a doodle...or two..or three...
Instead I'd like to share a few of Tara's adventures and…

Our little Chloe has been a very independant doodle ever since we brought her home..way more than our other dogs (Goldens & Labs) have ever been. She absolutely loves to be outside, and chooses to play & sleep outside a good part of the time, except at bedtime, when she stays behind a "doggy gate" in her bed in our master bath. I have to make her come in to get her in bed.
Now let me explain.. We live in Las Vegas, and have a fenced back yard which has nothing but landscape…

I could not be more embarrassed. Today an old colleague and friend of mine who I have not seen in several years, made the trek to our fine city to visit. I was not sure if she was a dog person or not, but now she most likely is not! Gavin was his usual good-natured self upon greeting, but once we sat down to visit he decided to put on a little show. You see she was clearly not showing him the attention he deserved. So first he came out with a chew stick and placed it at her feet. Next…

Baby Wilson was neutered today...hard to believe he will be six months old next week.
I waited until this morning to tell him where he was going today as I didn't want him to worry his little doodle head about it. So I woke up early and told him all about what would happen today and all he wanted to know was why he didn't get to eat breakfast.
On the way to the vet I realized this would be the first time I had ever taken Wilson anywhere and left him...so I worried about it all…

Okay, if you look in the forum, you will see I have posted a doodle joke contest. The rules were: Attatch a pic of your doodle, and then tell a funny joke. You could have one in one of two categories: Cuteness of doodle, or funniness of joke. I promised the winners that I would attatch a blog post entirely on their behalf. They deserve the fame and glory! The winner of the photo contest was Donna K. and Quincy! Their picture was of her labra/golden doodle with snow on his/her cute, furry…

A little over a year ago I had abandoned my hopes for a high flying jet-setting career, having discovered that I am much more comfortable at home, and so decided to nest a little, by taking in some furry babies. Well, wouldn't you know that this is when my career starts to pick up?
I am being sent off to Halifax, Nova Scotia, for a week of training and there are a few more trips in the new year being planned to much more exotic and far away places. After my last ordeal of being sent…

Years ago, when our girls were very young, my husband started the tradition of buying them one special book for Christmas. He has always been an avid reader and cannot go more than one day without a book. I love to read too, but our book choices are very different. When our girls were in elementary school, part of their curriculum was to read or be read to every night. The parents were supposed to sign a worksheet that the reading was done. I am not trying to start a big debate,…

Tonight I have a heavy heart, my family dog Yoshi crossed the rainbow bridge after a wonderful full 18.5 years of life.
I think the best place to honour her memory is here - where I am among people who understand how much I loved her.
She was our first and only family dog. To me she was my friend, my constant companion, my shadow. We used to call her "velcro dog", because wherever we were... she was there. She helped me through many hard times with her calming…

Roo and Tigger asked me to write this on DK for them in case Santa checks here for their Christmas gift list
They are both zonked out in bed from helping with all the Christmas decorating and tree trimming - or untrimming as I apparently placed some of the ornaments incorrectly, so they removed them to let me try again and do a better job.
So here is their Christmas list:
Twelve Zogoflex bones
Eleven juicy burgers
Ten tissue boxes (full…

My holiday thing: Every time I walk past a Salvation Army via the bell and bucket, Pull the money out of my wallet!! If I am so lucky to shop and be out and about, I am compelled to pull out at least $5 and put it in the pot! Every single time, if I pass a bell ringer 5 times in one day, I have to pull out my wallet. I hope that you can join me in this quest, 50 cents, one dollar, 5 dollars or more, EVERY SINGLE TIME YOU WALK BY A SALVATION ARMY REQUEST, THEY ARE THE BEST!! Well, of course…
