Our Holly wishes Fudge a very happy birthday.  Holly is three years old today.  Holly got her name because she was born on Christmas Day...  We wanted to call her Noel but, you can't tell a dog, "No, Noel!".  For
about the first year, Holly thought that her name was "No  Holly!".

 

She is now the most wonderful and loving and well behaved dog we would ever want...

SEASONAL GREETING

I wanted to send some sort of  greeting to my friends and

colleagues, but it is difficult in today's world to know exactly what to

say without offending someone. So I met with my lawyer yesterday, and on

Holly hasn't been getting as much exercise as she usually gets running around our big yard.  It has been raining constantly since Friday and this is unusual here in San Diego County, California.  I don't know how much rain we have received but, we have emptied Holly's outdoor water bowl at least once and it is almost filled up again.  The bowl is about 8 inches deep.  We live 1,500 feet above sea level and, while that isn't very high in comparison with some areas,…

Angelina, one of the female Maltese we fostered from the horrible puppy mill in Oregon had been adopted several months ago. She and her buddy, another rescue Maltese (not our rescue) named Rocco, came to stay with us for a week while their mom was out of town on business...

Both Angelina and, especially Rocco, thoroughly enjoyed playing with Holly and she enjoyed them. Rocco is a very energetic and playful dog while Angelina is more sedate. Rocco would roam our yard following…

Judy visited the Eukanuba National Invitational Dog Show at Long Beach, California yesterday because Sarah, a Maltese we had bred and whom we still co-own with her trainer/handler had been invited to the agility trials. I stayed home to take care of our dogs - we have a new rescue puppy about three days old and we don't leave puppies and their moms alone for any length of time. I just got a sneak peak at the cover for the 2011 Maltese Rescue Calendar - the theme is "Puppies Born into Freedom". These are all my pictures and all the puppies were born in our home after their mothers were rescued, pregnant from deplorable conditions in puppy mills. We have had over twenty puppies born into our home this year and just had another born yesterday. We have placed all the pups, and most of the mothers, along with a couple of adult males into "furever homes". The total…
