Guess Who Turned One This Week?

It's hard to believe but Miss Natalie turned ONE this Monday! Since a few of you wished her a Happy Birthday I thought I'd post a blog with some recent pics of the littlest love of my life.

Dear DRC, From Boca

Dear DRC,

I'm really happy you rescued me. These people you gave me are not bad. But, if possible, I'd like a re-write of the contract. At first I thought it was great that I got one of those 'Inside Families' with a cozy house and all. But I'm suffocating in here! Rain Soaked but Happy

I am a fair weather kinda gal and thus a fair weather trainer...and I almost always HATE rain. Give me clear skies and sunshine, please!

But today I had a friend commit to meeting me out in the park and if SHE was willing to brave wetness (as long as it wasn't pouring) no way was I going to wimp out!

Nothing to do with Doodles Baby Bragging just because

Boca's First Week

This Boca-girl is just the best little puppy ever! All my fears about getting a puppy with a baby seem like a big joke. She's so great! We've only gone on two walks because it's so darn hot, and she pulls like a banshee, but since we have a training plan for the near future it's not at all a concern. I just tie her leash to the stroller handle, hold Rosco's leash in hand, and stroll away with all my kids :-)

Boca's First Day

First Full Day

Boca was super feisty in the morning...apparently she thinks my PJ's are lacking in puppy paw prints.

Not ONE accident since her arrival (KNOCK ON WOOD...please don't let my bragging jinx me). Picking up Boca

We're on our waaaaayyy :) I will put updates and photos into this blog as I'm able!

UPDATE #1 (12:53 pm PST): Diane called 10 min ago and reported they are on their way with Boca. She was happy, wiggly, tail wagging and seemingly unstressed. Diane said she is tiny but substantial :) Get ready Rosco!

Only cost $5 Extra to get what I did NOT want!

Rosco went to the groomer once when he was about 5 months old. It was mostly just to get cleaned up...not a real 'hair cut' session. It went well, but I decided I'd do it myself. And I did for about 3.5 years. Before baby arrived I took him to PetCo for the first time to get 'cleaned up' again. Happy with the results and lacking 3-4 hours to spend grooming, I took him there again this Sunday. We're Back!

Clark, Natalie and I got back from vacation today. We were gone for 17 days and are THRILLED to be back home! There's only so much packing/unpacking one can take! Natalie traveled very well. Our trip took us to Redding, California for a weekend with good friends. Next came Southern California to see my family for one week. Happy 4th Birthday Rosco!!!

Happy Birthday to my 'first' baby "Living Streams Robert ROSCO Redfur"!!! If it weren't for you there'd have been no DK! No immersion into the world of dogs and training and dingleberries! It's a bittersweet day as today would have been Thule's 5th birthday too.
