Lucy went for her yearly check up today, and yes, she is becoming a horse. Last July she weighed 59# and today she weighed 70.6#. She does not mind going, BUT hesitates going into the exam room. AND God forbid someone sticks a thermometer up her butt, she goes bulistic. No temp taking though today. She was OK, they did have to back her up into a corner though to just look into her eyes and ears. She is sooooo funny, she just kept looking at me like, "mommy, get me, they'r going to hurt me". I have an invisable fence for Lucy. She has had this for about 2 years now. She knows her boundries very very well. I love it. We do not always put her collar on ( I KNOW, WE SHOULD ALWAYS PUT IT ON HER ) We live on 10 acres and have a big pond straight out from our house just across a field. At this time of the year wild geese come and mate and hatch their eggs. Lucy's boundry is not out as far as the pond so she lays and watches these geese. When… Continue

If any of you took time out from doodlekisses to watch the president's speech last night, the town outside of Pitts. that he talked about was Vandergrift. That is where Lucy and I live. HaHaHa. We are famous, NOT !!!!!!!!! He referred to a small window factory that just closed and laid all of it's workers off and then was able to reopen because of the "President's stimulus" package. WHOOOOOHOOOOO

My DH went to our camp on Monday and is going to stay for the week or maybe a little longer. HE DIDN'T TAKE THE LITTLE GIRL WITH HIM !!!!!!!!!!! Lucy is with him 24/7 as he is retired and I still work. She is just moping around and when I ask her "where is Daddy?" she goes straight to the door and looks out where he always has his truck parked. I have been on 3 - 11 all week and have had to leave her alone. My grandaughter lives near and comes and lets her out, but I still feel guilty. I don't… Continue
