So Lola has been in her obedience class for about five weeks now. She is doing great. Honestly we haven't had a lot of time to spend training her on the stuff and she still has it down. She can now sit, stay, lay down, leave food or treats, watch, and she can even play dead. She loves doing that one. We haven't been able to work on loose leash training mostly because of the ice and snow. She is pulling a little less however with the little we have been able to do.
She has been doing…

Our dogs have never, NEVER liked sticks. For them its always tennis balls, tennis balls, tennis balls. Not even toys! Just balls. Well this summer we were at out cabin on the lake on the dock with our dogs and threw a stick in the water. SPLASH! In goes Jedi. He grabbed it and then swam back in. We thought this was adorable and countinued to play (also kind of strange he is 5 years old). Then one day we were cleaning up the yard and collected a whole bunch of sticks. We took the sticks down to…

The other night we took our dogs out for a walk to the local ice sculpture competion. Since its been so warm they were so melted we couldn't really tell what they were. Everyone (as always) were commenting on how cute our little beasties were and we were having a time. When we were standing near the 2nd place sculpture talking to some people about our dogs breed and then i looked down and our little boy was almost peeing on the sculpture. LOL! Now the bottom of the sculpture has a little bit of…

Thanks Everyone for the warm welcome. I love doodles.I know that this community is probably a great place to get support or questions answered about doodles. I'm sure if there is anything I need to know about my doodle that someone out there will have an answer. So I hope to learn. Well and I love looking at doodle pictures. The naughty doodles gallery was too funny.Hopefully just looking at puppy pictures will prevent me from wanting another.

Hi everyone,
with shaking hands I pressed the "send" button and then my application for the puppy waiting list at Rutland Manor was gone.
And today I received the confirmation that my name is on it!
How exciting......I still cannot believe it.
When I announced the news at my work the best and funniest comment I got was,
"So technically you are pregnant with a puppy now"
Funny how life can go into directions which you never had imaged.
Half a year ago I…

What is your dogs favorite little treat?? Crazy as it may sound, Abby's is CRAISINS. She just loves them. That's what I have been using lately while training her. She will do anything for a craisin! LOL She must have a sweet tooth - and aren't they good for the urinary tract?

How many of you have your doodles wearing coat jackets? I have never even considered getting our two doodles jackets. They love the snow and we live in canada where it gets extremley cold! Is it because you have your doodles hair clipped short? I really am curious.

Don and I sent in the papers to finalize the adoption. Sophie is now a official member of the Kiserow Family. Thanks to everyone for all of the support! Sophie's medical expenses were paid for including her very last follow up that will be in June! We love our girl and are happy to have been introduced to such a wonderful group of people. She has truly brought JOY into our life!

Well............it has been SNOWING like CRAZY here. But Bear LOVES the snow. Dylan likes to go out with him to play. Today, they went outside and played for about an hour and half. Bear is the only dog we know that could find a stick in a snow pile.................it could be 15 feet and he would find one............LOL. Bear ran with this stick as Dylan tried to get him by throwing snow balls. It was as if Bear was laughing at Dylan as he continued to miss him. It is great to see them play :)

Today
Lauren (Gracie & Bella),
Trasa with Noulli, and
Poki and his lab brother and owners joined us for a mini romp in my backyard. It was freezing but so much fun to see all the furry tails running and bouncing around.
Gracie and Bella are littermates with Poki. Lauren has mentioned a few times that Gracie and Bella are…

It is a huge bargain to get them this time of the year. Like three bucks, and really well made. From what I can tell, many of you still have plenty of frigid weather ahead of you. I got a great one in orange and red quilted, for Beau today. I think tomorrow (Sunday the 18th) may be the last day of the 50% off the clearance price tho.....so if you are interested, don't hesitate. Actually, nobody in my local Old Navy was paying any attention to them today, until I was trying to decide between the…

We spent a week in a lovely RV park, River Lodge, on the California side of the Colorado River, just below Lake Havasu. As I was walking Holly after dark one evening, she began growling and barking and got quite agitated. I was a little concerned when I saw several shapes moving at the river's edge. I thought at first that they might be coyotes but the shapes were too large. As Holly barked, I took out my flashlight and shined it at the mysterious invaders.
It turned out that they…
