long time no see, eh?
Nothing new has really been happening, hence the lack of updates.
Today I scheduled his surgery to get neutered, which will happen the first week in March.
Oliver is still very patient with our 7 year old chihuahua (who is the boss) she growls whenever he gets on her nerves and then he very slowly backs away from her...this is hilarious to see btw, a 7lb chihuahua scaring the big dog. lol However, 9 times out of 10 he can entice her to play…

When to get a dog - I have found that getting Lucy when I can be at home was perfect timing. She is very intelligent and needs constant challenge. While getting new toys, treats, coasters, and left over Tupperware can be a little expensive, I have found that she absolutely needs stimulation.
Field trips- If Lucy is very bored, I load her in the car and take her to Petsmart or Petco. She meets new dogs, and loves exploring the whole store. She is still puzzled at the goldfish tank . She…

How is it that so many of these playful doodles in the slideshow have intact stuffed animals and my grand-doodle (1yr old) Marley can eat a cloth Kong toy to shreds in 20 mins? And forget about ANYTHING with stuffing!!!!! Is that something you can teach them NOT to do?

Today, Dylan had a swim meet. He has been improving lately and I have been amazed in what he is able to do.
Anyways..............today he received is VERY first swim patch............which is called the NAG B patch in the 50 Yard Backstroke. The standard time he needed to beat was 49.15..............he swam it in 49.05.
It was so exciting to see and we were all there to see it . I really think he does not understand the whole thing about winning a patch is an honor and a…

We found a great place for Holly to swim in the Carlsbad Lagoon which is along the Pacific Ocean, north of San Diego and south of Oceanside. It is not an official dog beach but, seems very friendly to dogs. There were several Labs and Goldens swimming there and Holly had a ball playing with them and swimming. It is safe since there are no waves nor undercurrents.
It was about 75 degrees along the Coast and it is now (3 PM PST) about 80 degrees inland where we live.
We…

It was 42 degrees today in central Ohio. Cali has not had much excersise as it has been so cold, snowy and icey that we have been just going outside long enough for her to go potty and back into the house we go. So we decided we would go visit a dog park today to let her run if she wanted to.
We weren't really sure how she would do as she has always been a bit timid around other people and has not been around other dogs much at all since we have had her. So were like two nervous…

Hi -- well after months of searching we finally found our goldendoodle and are going to pick up Missy in 8 days!! We are looking for a crate --- does anyone have any suggestions. Is a wire cage with divider panel best way to go? Missy will be about 9 and a half weeks old when we pick her up. Thanks for any suggestions. This will be our first dog!!

After Holy wakes us and gets her morning treat and belly rub; I find myself gravitating to DK to look at the new great pictures posted by members and to get my AM Doodle fix. I just love to follow the progress of individual Doodles as they progress from early puppy stages into maturity. As I look at these photos, they remind me of the joy (and occasional frustrations) with our darling Holly and how happy I am that we selected the Doodle breed, and Holly in particular, for our…

Hi, I am Jen E. Fur, a black labradoodle. I live in Buffalo, NY. Any other doodles in Buffalo? My favorite things to do are go outside and fetch. My mom or sister don't want to come out with me every time though. So what if it's 0 degrees and snowing? I love it! I love getting my black fur covered in white snow. And when I come inside I shake it all over the house! That is fun. I also love to look out the window and watch people walk by my house......see my pictures, you'll see what I mean.…

Hi all, I was getting ready to order the Grannicks Bitter Apple thru Jefferspets.com and it says to use on the pet only. Is there other stuff to spray on the furniture and things or do you all use it on everything?
Thanks, Sue

Hi, I'm Lori.
I'm the registrar for GANA. Adina was kind enough to offer an invite for us to make a page here to highlight those wonderful goldendoodles. I'm so impressed with all of the great resources that Doodle kisses has to offer. Adina... fabulous job!!

I want to have contests and there's currently a puzzle on the GANA site. We have just launched so it's a building process. The one thing I'm absolutely sure of.... the ladies that make up the board of GANA are… Continue
