Her name was Mama Mia and she was my constant and loyal companion for over 13-years who developed a brain lesion very suddenly. She could not stand, foamed at the mouth and did not recognize me! Thankfully she didn't have to suffer long. Judy and I were with her as our vet put her out of her misery.
It's a great loss but, I look around and our rescue dogs and think about all the other dogs we have saved and that seems to make Mama Mia's loss just a tiny bit easier. NOT EASY BY ANY STRETCH, just a BIT easier...
I still have my Holly as well as some of our other personal dogs.
BTW: please make sure that all of you have at least one good picture of any dog or person that you love!

I'm so sorry for your loss, Richard. She was a beautiful girl.
So sorry for your loss -
I'm so sorry Richard! There are no words to convey the heartbreak that you are dealing with! Just know that Mama Mia was a very lucky dog to have had you as her owner and I'm sure that she knew that every day she was with you!!! She was one lucky dog!!!!!
She was a cutie. Its always hard to let go of our furry friends, but at least she had a good life with you and did not have to suffer.
Oh Richard, I am so sorry. We suddenly lost our Springer last month so I know just how you feel. I agree that it helps some to have other furry friends to get snuggles from. I am sure all the dogs you have rescued and fostered thank you for your selfless assistance and send their hugs.
I'm so sorry Richard. What a dear sweet girl. Picturing her happy and healthy and watching over you guys from across the Rainbow Bridge.
