Labradoodle & Goldendoodle Forum
So all of the folders are collated and labeled, microchipping, wellness check, last night of crate training has been done. This morning the puppies all raced for the outside door the second their crates were open. Not one stopped to do its business on the floor. The last week is always hard. They change and grow so fast that it is hard to stay ahead of them. They suddenly all seem to have such distinct personalities. Calls change from inquiries about buying a puppy to anxious new families wanting the latest news and pictures. As I cuddle each one, most wiggling to get down and play after a quick kiss, I know from experience that this little guy that was born into my hands just a couple of months ago, will possibly never see me again after today. There are always a few in each litter that keep up with pictures, phone calls, and questions about training. Most will reply when I send out a six month questionare. But for the most part these guys are gone. One little girl in particular will be going to Canine Assistance to be trained as a service dog for someone. That is such a thrill for me.Time for me to go and start getting puppies for their bath. The first people will be here in another hour. Sniff....

love this photo...they were lucky to have you as their mama's mama.. hugs
I feel for you-that must be tough. I really hope some stay in contact-they all look so different it would be great to see how they turn out. You do such a great job caring for them these are lucky owners!! I wish them the best happy homes ever!!!
Thank you everyone. Once everybody is gone it gives me more time to spend with the big dogs. In The first week and last two weeks , their routine takes back seat to all the demands of the pups. They have never complained but boy if I put on my hiking boots or jacket they spring into action, ready to go.
And of course this new bundle of fluff, my future moyen poodle stud, is a big help toward not missing the pups to much.
Thank you for this post. Your babes are adorable. Even if people don't keep up with you, trust me they love you for their babies. I check in occasionally with our breeder but not nearly as often as I think of her.
Pick up day must be a happy/sad mix of a day for you.... but I can tell you... it was such an exiting and memorable day for me. I remember everything.... and my life has been so much more full since that great day! Thanks for what you do... the families will be so excited to see their pups!
awww look at those little munchkins!
Hugs to you Lynne. You must be proud of homing happy healthy puppies to enrich the lives of others.
I hope each one of them goes to a loving, happy home :) I love the BIG blonde puppy on the bottom right.
