A local lady who tirelessly works to save dogs from our local kill shelters recently lost her home, 3 of her dogs and 9 rescues in a fire!   This is a tribute that was put together.  She is one of those people who I admire tremendously!   I don't know her personally, but I see the results of her efforts all the time.

I'm sobbing right now.  "A tissue".....I need the whole box.
Well...I am sitting here with tears streaming down my face this morning, but I wanted to say thank you for sharing. So much sadness everywhere these days and seeing those darling little faces, knowing what horrors they must have gone through with that terrible fire just makes me so very more appreciative of every moment we have with our own lives and loved ones. What a beautiful tribute these dogs had by so many who "cared". So many of our four-legged friends just cross over to the bridge without being surrounded with such love. A beautiful moving story and it always warms my heart to read about people like that. Thank you.
Incredible, touching tribute.   I can see why you so admire her.  Thanks for sharing this.
Why?  Why do bad things happen to good people?  Wish I knew the answers.  Thanks you for sharing this, it reminds me to count my blessings each and everyday.
What a horrible thing to happen to such wonderful people and dogs. I was doing good until I saw the photos of the two survivors laying close to each other for comfort...
That's exactly the spot where I had to grab an entire box of tissues.....How sad.....A powerful reminder to us to appreciate what we have everyday.
so upsetting...cannot even find the words to comment....
So, so sad to read this.  So much love in that house and yet so much sadness came from the tragedy.  And yet they have moved on with their new little Phoenix!  The women who gave these dogs a new home and the men in the Fire Dept. are such amazing and unselfish individuals!
This was hard to watch, but reminds us to be thankful of so many things and especially the people that do good deeds as she has done.  Heartbreaking story though :(
This one is more then a tissue, I needed a box to get thru it....Oh my so much pain in this world, just unbelievable story...And yet with little Pheonix, it will start a new....so is the circle of life, those that were lost will always be remembered, and the new ones will be the the shining stars....Need to get more tissues...
Thank you for sharing.  What an amazing group.  This was such a beautiful tribute.
More than one tissue and questioning looks from my doodles - wondering why mommy was crying when she usually laughs at the computer.  How tragic.  A wonderful tribute and I can understand your admiration.  Thank you for sharing.
