OK, I thought it was just my older doodle Oliver, but now the baby, Rosie has learned the fine art of tissue stealing. I've always had trouble with Oliver searching trash cans for discarded tissues, he runs with them to his house and used to guard them, giving a nasty growl if you tried to take it away. After a lot of work, Oliver seems to have mastered the "drop it" command and no longer guards thank goodness!

I don't know if Oliver had anything with this, but Rosie was the last one running out of the room!!!How could anything so sweet get into any trouble??

Oliver knew enough to get out of the room quickly and hide, Rosie is just the one that got caught!
Ginger too...anything paper!!!

I think tissue stealing/shredding is in the DNA of every doodle.  Even the babies will shred if you let them.

Bodi loves used tissues.  We have given up and put the trash baskets UP out of reach.  Not very fashionable, but it works!

haha what a cute "angel" :)

Our doodles don't care much about tissue, but Kirby LOVES paper.  He is never bad except that he shredded my husband's birth certificate a few months ago.

Lacey LOVES tissue and paper towels!!  The other day she lifted the garbage lid and between the perfectly good pork chop, she chose the paper towel!!
I have the same problem with our Vern. Fudge never bothers with the Kleenex, but Vern can destroy half a box in minutes.
Bindi loves tissues too. She likes used or clean. It was real tough because my son has allergies so she was always going in his trash. He would yell at her, that would upset me because I told him you have to yell at her when she is doing it. So I found a trash can with a lid. Problem solved!

Our Murphy wouldn't touch a tissue or paper if he was starving and Bella not only lives to seek out tissue, but eats it so quick that by the time I run accross a room to her it's gone. Luckily it all comes out in the end, but her paper and tissue fetish is why I have Dog Insurance now. I expect a big tissue blockage any day.  I have now bought bathroom wastebaskets with lids and don't leave tissue around anywhere. I still don't know how or where she finds them. A real mystery to me.

I am using it to my advantage however, as I train "Leave it and Drop" with tissue in hopes that some day she will do it with everything else, most importantly her poop-eating fetish. So really, tissue, even used ones, doesn't gross me out nearly as much.

Ollie is a big tissue thief. He just loves it when my kids accidentally leave a tissue or paper towel around. He will run with it and get big zoomies so he doesn't get caught. We have just had to learn to hide them away. Hopefully he'll get over his "tissue issue" some day ;-)
NEED I SAY MORE????
