OK, I thought it was just my older doodle Oliver, but now the baby, Rosie has learned the fine art of tissue stealing. I've always had trouble with Oliver searching trash cans for discarded tissues, he runs with them to his house and used to guard them, giving a nasty growl if you tried to take it away. After a lot of work, Oliver seems to have mastered the "drop it" command and no longer guards thank goodness!
I don't know if Oliver had anything with this, but Rosie was the last one running out of the room!!!How could anything so sweet get into any trouble??

I think tissue stealing/shredding is in the DNA of every doodle. Even the babies will shred if you let them.
haha what a cute "angel" :)
Our doodles don't care much about tissue, but Kirby LOVES paper. He is never bad except that he shredded my husband's birth certificate a few months ago.
Our Murphy wouldn't touch a tissue or paper if he was starving and Bella not only lives to seek out tissue, but eats it so quick that by the time I run accross a room to her it's gone. Luckily it all comes out in the end, but her paper and tissue fetish is why I have Dog Insurance now. I expect a big tissue blockage any day. I have now bought bathroom wastebaskets with lids and don't leave tissue around anywhere. I still don't know how or where she finds them. A real mystery to me.
I am using it to my advantage however, as I train "Leave it and Drop" with tissue in hopes that some day she will do it with everything else, most importantly her poop-eating fetish. So really, tissue, even used ones, doesn't gross me out nearly as much.
