So Georgia is 8.5 months old. She had her second groom almost 4 weeks ago.

I have noticed the hair around her face sticking up in odd places. I try to comb it down before taking photos but a little wind and the photo below is what I get.

I didn't notice this with the last groom so I don't know if this is just the way her hair is, or if they groomed it different. Is there something I can do or request so it doesn't do this? Or do I need to resort to hair spray for photo shoots. (kidding, but only slightly--is there such a product that is safe for dogs?)

Here is another photo from the side:

she's adorable.  When Bentley's hair starts getting long he gets hairs in front of his eyes - I just think it's their curly hair growing!

Looks normal to me. She is adorable
It looks sooooo cute! Please don't do anything with it! Adds to her personality!

She is adorable with her bed head muzzle!  Nice pics!

But to one of your questions, I think this may partially be due to the process of coat change.  Chance, for a time during this process, had a jumble of fine hair, coarse hair, curly hair, straight hair.

Oh my goodness- I can sympathize because I am ALWAYS having this problem with Ragley's "mustache" hair! I try to trim it the right way and comb it down, but I always end up with those silly wisps in her eyes. And just like you said- as soon as the wind blows, any fixing I did is useless and I think it's actually worse if I have combed it because then a huge chunk flies up instead of just a few hairs. Let me know if you find a doggie-approved hairspray lol

Thanks everyone.

Her coat has changed quite a bit in the last couple months. I thought the coat change thing was done.

I do think it's cute but I can't see her eyes in the photos.

This happens with Darwin as well and there is pretty much nothing I can do to stop it. I believe that if you ask for them to shave a bit off under the eyes (at my grooming shop it's called "scooping" out the eyes) it mitigates the problem for a while - but in my experience that looks kind of strange.

She is so cute and I really like the cut! I don't think there's much you can do. The hair on Finn's muzzle is straight but it flies around as soon as he moves -

I always thought it would be easier if it was curly.  But I guess a doodle is a doodle.

If those flyaway hairs were longer would they stay put better rather than trimming them short? I was hoping for a grooming solution.

Yes, that helps.  I keep Chance trimmed fairly tight on the top of the muzzle.  Not everyone will like the look, but it allows me to see his eyes:)

If you use blending shears on the parts that stand out, it will calm them down a bit. Looks cute, but some of that hair could get in her eyes so may not be comfortable in the wind.

Oscar has that same type of muzzle hair, where its curly but stands out at all angles. It really obscures his eyes in photos. I've found that trimming closer, further down the muzzle (from the eyes) helps. I think Georgia is gorgeous, BTW.
