Labradoodle & Goldendoodle Forum
Had to add this one!!! I see so many that are concerned about their open faced doodles. I have just the opposite - I have a golden doodle that could easily pass for 100% poodle. Mind you - I am NOT complaining - just stating a fact. I understand genetics and know that since he is 75% poodle, with his mom carrying the poodle genes, it is entirely possible that he is carrying all poodle genes. His litter mate brother looks like a "typical" doodle, while Cody looks like a kinky headed poodle. They are both the most wonderful things on 4 legs, but Cody HATES to be brushed and without daily brushing, he mats like crazy. Sigh!! Casey, on the other hand, loves to be brushed and he could easily go for a week between brushings. His coat is wavy and course. They are SO funny, and SUCH joys to have in our lives.

I would love to see some more photos! Its kind of hard to see the black one in your profile pic.
Cute!! That is more of a poodle cut that adds to the poodle look--I was dog sitting a mini-poodle all day today--same haircut, but much tighter curls--so there is some doodle in your poodle! :)
Hi Joyce....Cody is absolutely beautiful!!! I just wanted to add that I agree that his cut is more of a poodle cut. I have a wooly ALD and he would look more like a poodle if he had a poodle cut. It took awhile for the groomer to get it right but she finally did. I do his face, nose and eyes because if not, she would shave him. Here is a pic of my Oliver
Nancy - Oliver is adorable. He looks so aristocratic in that pose. :) Just makes me want to give him a big hug and kiss on that sweet nose.
Here are a couple of photos of Cody without the face being so short. I do tend to keep his face shorter because otherwise his beard and face stays wet all the time. One of the photos has him and Casey together.
