Hi all, I'm writing this post because Mindy had a hard time between her 11- 13 weeks of age with digestion and bad diarrhea. We had her on a high protein food and that wasn't helping. Our vet…Continue

Hi, I was wondering if I could get some feedback on how large your Aussiedoodle pups got? We were told that our pup would be 35 lbs but she is only about 13 pounds at 14 weeks old. Any thoughts?…Continue

Get her weight at 16 weeks and then use the old formula from DK for figuring her adult weight. You double the weight at 16 weeks and then add 5-10 pounds for the natural weight gain that comes with age. It was right on with all of my dogs. My guess is about 50 pounds which is the size of my ALD. Great size, BTW.
About traveling, my dogs have always traveled with us and we are going to Arizona this week and they are staying at home with a house/dog sitter for the first time. They have never been away from us. The house sitter also has a goldendoodle who stays with us all the time, so they are well acquainted. We feel comfortable and they feel comfortable. BTW, we met through DK. Our car is all set up for traveling with the back area blocked off from the rest of the car and a removable mat for those trips to the beach. We also have a memory foam bed that covers the whole back area for longer trips. Yes, I guess you could say our dogs are a little spoiled, or maybe we are. Here is a photo taken last week with their friend, Jackson, who stayed with us last weekend.
Love to be your friend at DK. She (Mindy) will be a wonderful challenge for your young family.
I love Aussiedoodles and was even thinking of getting one for my next doodle. However, they are very energetic and I had that for several years with my ALD. Instead, I am going for a sheepadoodle, supposedly not the smartest dogs but also not so energetic. I think I am going for low energy and intelligence in my next dog - Aussiedoodles do not qualify. BTW, I failed agility training with my ALD. He could do it, but I could not. It is tough getting old!
She is a beautiful color. Check out some of the groups. One of the groups are people from the Midwest. I live in SW MO.
