I thought Rudy and Penny were red when I got them, but turns out they are apricot. They have lightened quite a bit between age 1 and almost 4--they are a beautiful strawberry blond now. Rudy has some brown on one foot, which seems to be a new development, although I gave them very short haircuts to combat our strange 108° weather so maybe I wouldn't have seen the brown hair--it would have been covered by his longer leg hair. 108° in western Oregon is unprecedented.

I wanted to join this group and hear what everyone else is finding with their red doodles. They are such a beautiful color. I have a 4 month old ALD named Finn (Finnigan). He has an apricot Dad that is a standard and a red mom that is a medium . I can't wait to see if he fades out like his dad or stays red like his Mom. He is 25lbs at 4 months so he is likely to be a big boy! We just had his face trimmed before this picture and his face is now cream. He is doing really well but we have to go on vacation in a few weeks and I think we may have some setbacks when we are not in the same routine. I guess we'll see!!

Wow! That's a big difference from what the breeder told you. 45 lbs is just about a Mini/Medium. But, at his weight he is definitely a standard. But soo cute! We had a standard that weighed about 55-58 lbs and he was just the best dog. Unfortunately, he died last Memorial Day weekend in a horrible car accident and he is truly missed. Luckily, we found our "mini" Cooper shortly after and he has brought us so much happiness! Enjoy your Copper, he looks liek a sweetie!

Copper is a standard. We were told from his breeders (based on their previous litters) that Copper would max out at about 45 lbs. Well, we must have fed him some super food because he how weighs 70 lbs and is 26 inches in height at his shoulders! Nevertheless, he's great and is so much fun!

I love Copper's summer haircut. It is soo cute! I know it's hard to adjust to when they lose all their beautiful hair, but he really does look adorable. Is he a standard or mini? Terri V & "mini" Cooper

Hello, This is Copper. He is an apricot F1B labradoodle and he will be 10 months next week. He recently got a haircut and looks different compared to his long and shaggy look.
