Yes, the less cutting the better! Tara's doc used dissolving stitches and she had a reaction to those about 2 weeks after the surgery. The incision was all red and swollen and of course I thought INFECTION!!! I got her right into the vets and it was just inflammation and it didn't bother her at all and just resolved on its own. It would have been nice if the vet had mentioned that it was a possibility. I would have fewer gray hairs right now!! LOL
I wasn't sure what to expect, but she's been great. I have seen some pics of incisions twice as long as hers. I am glad her vet was more conservative with the knife :)
She looks so cute with her little bear!! I'm glad the spay went well and that she is being a good girl about leaving her stitches alone!!! I remember how nice it was to have that behind us!! :)
