Very timely! Yesterday I took my mother to a book sale. She is 93 and loves to read but not usually the same book I like to read. I had been planning to clean up my book shelves and donate some books, so I thought I might "think" about getting a few new books. Well, I saw a couple my son might like, a couple I know my husband would like and then a few for me. Now I HAVE to clean up the bookcases because there is no place to stuff the new books. Oh yes, I will admit it, I like Dean Koontz and Dan Brown books. I love a little scare to my bedtime reading. Paulo Cuelho is also a favorite.

Thanks for the invite Kyoko, I LOVE to read and to share. I always have a dog training or dog story book going besides a novel, or lately something on photography :)

Great idea! I have promised myself to set a good example for my daughter and start reading together...a little every day. I picked up The Particular Sadness of Lemon Cake. I will give you an update once I get into it.

I do tend to read the more commercial authors like Nora Roberts, Danielle Steele, nothing to heavy! LOL I read to relax. Who are some favorite authors? I have never heard of Steig either but I am going to read the article :-)

I get on kicks where I do quite a bit of "fun" reading but then DK gets in the way. Also, since I have really taken to Photography I have been busy reading the tutorial books on my camera and various other books on photography. It seems something always gets in my way with my reading...or I fall asleep!!
