Thanks Susan, I am really looking forward to next saturday too. The mornings have been just great. Been hiking and running with Murphy and he can go so much longer than when we were in Fla this summer. Also went up to the Tonto Natl Forest today to let the dogs swin in the lake. great time.!!! See you Sat.

Hi everyone, we went to the park this morning. It was not too crowded. The weather was great and Marlow had such fun running around greeting everyone. There is a water spigot at the far end of the park that he had to lay beside, so he is filthy now, but that is my goofy boy! :) Can't wait to see everyone next Saturday!

I have read that so often on the Grooming Group Forum on DK. This was Murphy's first professional grooming and I was so afraid it would happen regardless of how many times I told the groomer "Just don;t make him look like a poodle". It was close, but not as bad as it could've been. No, it's not a bad thing, if you WANT a poodle. I will probably keep doing it myself with one or two professional cuts a year. Fenway looked adorable tho now.

Sue - we totally agree with you about the hair and how it makes them look. We were soo disappointed when Fenway came back looking like a poodle (not that that's a bad thing) but it totally changed his look. He has finally grown back to the point of looking doodly again!

Eric,Thank the girls (even if they are illegal) for the great pictures. They did a great job of getting pictures of some very active dogs!

Michael, I do think that thier hair, especially thier face hair, defines them. If I shaved Murphy's face, he would look like a retriever, and ofcourse many have had them groomed and they come back looking like a poodle depending on how much hair is left on the face and head. This is the shortest Murphy has ever been and it has taken a lot of his doodle-y look away, but regardless, they are great dogs. And you are being a very considerate doodle owner by shaving her when you know she is having a hard time adjusting to the heat.

Hey everybody, I posted the pictures my kids took at the romp this past weekend. We had a great time and Fenway was exhausted after all that playing (he actually went to training right after, too and played some more)
