Garden Group

I hope there are many gardeners among us doodle owners. After all we must be nurturers. We can share information on what's safe for dogs, how to keep them from destroying plantings and all green related things.

What is this flower? I saw it growing on a fence so it obviously climbs and spreads out.  Someone told me it was a passion flower and the vine grew fruit.

I hope you recover soon. Don't worry about the garden. Many things will come back next year and if you haves gaps you can buy new plants :-) just concentrate on yourself, it is more important.

Thanks Linda, it's been a tough year. Actual fall was January but it was a long weekend in March at Santa Barbara with the fur babies walking everywhere when I realized there was a real problem! Since May 1 I've been in a cast/boot on a knee walker. My sister who has THE most beautiful Dahlia garden I've ever seen sent some bulbs and my darling daughter won't water weekly? They grew tall but they are not flowering. When I do get her to water and worm tea there's a brief bust of color then gone! Definitely her ODD kicking in, guess she's done taking care of me. My gerbers who have bloomed every year have all but withered away! Grrrrr. Hopefully after I finally get the much needed surgery I can get them primed for next year. It doesn't help to be under drought conditions either! Sure hope that el Nino their forecasting is real! I'm so ready to scratch 2015 off, and so are the dogs! Lol

Jolene ~ hope you heal quickly.  Being laid up is not fun (especially for a gardener)!

There were 4 volunteers; 2 last year and 2 the year before. They are all beautiful.

Well if anyone is in socal and wants a yard to work on mine is in desperate need of some tlc. Torn tendon so I'm in a non-walking boot and unfortunately our yard is too bumpy (thanks to the dogs) to attempt scooting on my knee scooter. My darling daughter (not) refuses to tend to it. I feel so guilty, roses, hydrangeas, Dahlias, then my vegetables with barely a boom this year! I sure
hope they forgive me next year. Guess I'll sit back and continue to enjoy your beautiful gardens.

Anne ~ I love it when a volunteer flowers and is really beautiful like this one.

Crepe myrtle. Just one florette. They are so common here that I didn't think to name it.
