In September 2013 I posted this picture and asked if any one knew what it was. It had volunteered in my flower border.

This year it bloomed.

Thanks F.  Because of our crazy weather pattern in the Pac NW, my roses have been in bloom since April.  They are beginning to look tired, but the dahlias are hanging in there!

My yellow dahlias are so happy this year. They seem to be bigger every year!

It's been so stinkin hot and humid here Winston refuses to go for a walk during the day. He gets to the end of the driveway and stops. When I say "What's wrong buddy? Do you wanna go home?" He turns right around and pulls me back up the driveway. We can only go at night or first thing in the morning. And, despite the unusually hot weather, the leaves are already starting to fall on my oak tree (hence my spiffy new red rake).

LOL you guys. Yes that is flox in the background and it's looking lovely, but I was in fact referring to my Winston Flower. He was hanging outside with me and just sort of planted himself there in the garden and sat so statue like. He looked like he was a part of it. I had to snap a photo. I wish I knew what he was thinking about!
