Yes, after researching I think the singleton pup status is potentially far more problematic than anything about the gender.
Have any of you thought you were getting a female and then ended up with a male due to the makeup of the litter? Our breeder let us know that the mother delivered only one dog, a male. We had planned to adopt a female. Also, we have wondered if singleton puppies socialize in the same way since they have no litter mates?
You made my day! Sorry for laughing at your expense, Judith. But you truly made my day!!!!!
Hurley waits until I am on the MAC and brings his toys for me to play. Never clothing or even shoes. He knows better than to touch either of those.
Stacy, my present doodle does the same thing. When she manages to get something she knows she shouldn't have, she does her best to do keep away with me. Fortunately, her fetish is paper, so it is more likely to be used tissues than bras.
I thought I would share about my previous dog. He liked things that smelled of me, especially bras (even freshly washed. He also seemed jealous of when I was on the phone and would do anything to try to distract me. One nice day, he was being very bothersome as I was talking to a friend. So I moved outside on my front porch. The storm door was in and we could see each other through the glass. He disappeared for a moment, then reappeared, sitting nicely as could be, with a clean bra from the wash in his mouth.
I love this pup. I really do. And it's a good thing I do, because I'm going to have to start buying bras in bulk. She's killed 3 of them! And I know it's my fault because, although I thought I had them out of reach, I obviously left them where she could get to them. And I'm only frustrated with myself, but good grief! I buy all these nice bully sticks and himalayan cheese whatevers, but whatever it is that she isn't supposed to have is the most amazing thing to play keepaway with. I swear she knows when she snatches something that isn't hers. She races out the dog door and then tosses the forbidden thing around so gleefully.
