We went to the mall for the promotion of dog training and fundraiser purpose for Humane Society. ( we were trained at the humane society ) Staff from the Humane Society did the free gift wrapping for the mother's day shoppers ( Donation accepted :-) , while we sat and interacted with shoppers talking about the obedience classes at the shelter. I discovered that Pinot loves little kids! He even loved the babies in the strollers!! It was a really goo experience for him, since he got to interact with all kinds of people, in all kinds of noises and smells and all! After he got home, he ran around the house and wanted to play really hard!! ( rainy day ) I guess he needed to release his stress..?
Thanks for the update Kyoko. The girls' home is an excellent choice. I workec at a similar facility for 24 years and used to bring puppy Gavin in occasionally. They loved it!
Dynamic dog went on for 6 weeks, and we graduated for 6 weeks, and we graduated from it. Now we are official, turned in the visitation paper to TDI and all. However, school is over ( University of Pittsburgh ) so, we wont go to the university until the fall. I am working to find the site we can visit over the summer. There is a ten age girls temporary shelter in the area, and the worker said that girls always ask why can't they have a shelter pet, even a fish. But they are nor permitted to have any animal living there. So I am seeking to see f I can bring Pinot for once a week or so to be with the girls who are placed there. ( Many of them are removed from home for variety of reasons and they don't have foster family to go to. )
Kyoko - I would love to hear an update on your Dynamic Dogs course.
Congrats Diane and Charlie! Looking forward to hearing about your first visit.
