There's so much joy in watching our doodles romping in a dog park Today, my goofy, 65 + lb Atticus, (aka Atty Batty) was so excited when he managed carry a stick in his mouth and run at the same…Continue

So proud of my 9 month old Atticus who is in training to become a therapy dog that will provide support to the youngest victims/witnesses of domestic violence/violent crime. This picture below is now on the NYC Mayor's Office To Combat Domestic Violence website and was taken on Monday, June 12, 2017 during a children's program I supervise at the justice center:
"Our friend Atticus is still a puppy, but that…

It's National Puppy Day, so this morning I took some pics of my beautiful, goofy 6 month old australian labradoodle, Atticus. Recently, Atticus has decided that sleeping in the bathtub is preferable to his Orvis bed, or even my bed; he has figured out how to turn the shower knob with his mouth so it drips just a bit, and I find him in the bathtub, sleeping on his back, feet in the air with his head positioned so that is mouth is directly under the "dripping faucet." I tried to get a…

As most of you know, on May 31, 2016, my beloved Paz crossed the rainbow bridge after his courageous 6 month battle against canine lymphoma.I decided the best way to honor Paz's amazing memory, was to get another labradoodle puppy who could be trained as a therapy dog that would continue Paz's amazing work with young crime victims. After much research, in July, I placed a deposit for a puppy from a planned litter that was being bred in July. I am…

Hi, I'm not sure if anyone saw my previous post but I'm hoping to get some feedback on airline approved in cabin pet carriers; if all goes well, I'm hoping to pick up a standard size labradoodle puppy in November. I will be flying from NYC to North Carolina to pick up the puppy and the puppy will be accompanying me in the plane cabin. Sherpa carriers are airline approved in the small and medium size. The medium can accomodate a puppy weighing up to 16lbs; as the puppy will be just over 8…

If I could have a choice - comma. Not choose my new rescue. Giggle.
I a sooo excited for you. If you have choices, are you hoping for male or female? If you have color choices, what would you choose? I know personality is most important. If I could choose my new rescue, Charlie, is exactly what I would choose for sex and coloring and even personality (barring his little bad habits, of course! :-})
When is the breeding happening for your new puppy?

She's about 8 pounds. I just brought her home yesterday. She is a great puppy.
I am so sorry for your loss. I know how much your beautiful Paz meant to you. How lucky he was, to have been loved so unconditionally. It is a tribute to him that you are about to train and love another therapy dog. You are a kind and loving woman. Dear, sweet Paz, rest in peace!
Fondly,
Judy
