Labradoodle & Goldendoodle Forum
Hi,
I figured I would give those who would like an update my update… No offense will be taken if you don't want to read it, but I actually was surprised and amazing blessed with how many people have asked. Thank you so much.
I have no idea where I left off as things have been pretty non-stop since, well I can't remember…… Several months ago, I was to the point in my health where I was wheel chair bound, unable to come…

The last time John took the garbage out, he fell on the black ice. Of course, he blames it on the garbage, but I blame Mother Nature. Taking the garbage out is John’s big job in our household and let’s just say the walk down the driveway to the garbage cans takes less time than the nagging I have to do to get it done. Even my mom asks me when I am going to give up the nagging and just do it…

My search is over. Very exiting. My puppy is coming home in March. She is a mini GD. Going to visit her in February when the first set of shots are done. I have been on Doodle Kisses for a while now looking for information, learning from all of the members, and now I will be asking a lot of questions when she come home that for sure. I will post pictures when I go visit my little cute.

I thought I would re-post this as a blog since it rolled off the discussion page so quickly.
Many of you know Jennifer of Jennifer & Jack. You may or may not know that she has many medical issues due to her Cystic Fibrosis. She will be having surgery again soon and I can imagine that her medical bills are mounting! Jennifer never asks for our help although Im sure that she could definitely use any help offered to her. She just keeps right on going. She has the best…

So it has been quite a while since I have been on here. I will read some of the postings that come to my email, but getting on the actual website is not as often as I dreamed it would be. Bug is just a couple of days shy of 7 months. He is growing, adorable, and shedding like crazy! I am interested to see if this shedding will remain this bad for his entire life, or if it is some sort of phase he is in. It doesn't bother me as much as it bothers my boyfriend… but it can be tough at…

Well, it is quite a challenge to say the least. This is a lot like watching a baby with special needs. You have to work not only with test results but how your dog reacts to meds. Titration is really tough. We have lowered her dose of prednisone, but she still drinks in the latter part of the day and has issues at night. We only left for an hour to go out to eat last night, and she went all over the floor and herself. Both girls don't understand why we are putting them in the…

You might say brushing isn’t difficult.
However it often happens that Labradoodles that are brushed regularly have nasty tangles and the owner doesn’t know what to do about them.
How can that happen? But more importantly, how can you brush your Labradoodle and guarantee that the fur remains tangle free?
Here is how:
1. Use the right brush:
In the…

This seems like a good idea. However, I would not want this done to any of my rescue dogs until we have a body of evidence that it is safe and effective...
Our vet is an excellent surgeon and will neuter our males without seeming to inflict any pain. We just had two young males neutered and the were playing on the evening of their surgery.
I had a new type of artificial knee joint installed soon…

This Polar Vortex thing is starting to tick me off. I don’t really understand it all, but I tend to base my opinions on how something affects my little world and me and so far, I am not happy. I take after my mom in this regard. Indiana could be experiencing the worst drought in history and Hoosiers could be lining up with buckets for water at rationing…

Eight years ago this week, the person who bought JD from a pet store as a puppy left him at a shelter and never came back.
The reasons he was relinquished were vague. Something about a job change, I was told.
I was also told that the man carried JD (who was 14 months old and weighed 69 lbs) into the shelter in his arms, and that he seemed emotional about what he was doing.
Perhaps the reason he carried him is that JD had no collar or leash when he was relinquished. No…

One word comes to mind when I think about how to describe Harley’s bizarre behavior this weekend…
Wednesday and Thursday were about as normal as ever in our little subdivision we call“Doodleville.” Thursday…

I don't have a poop bag list (actually I'm lucky if I remember to have a poop bag when I leave the house, let alone a list) - but if I did, I would have just added my first entry. Carol and her husband John are in town for their daughter's wedding, and even with their tight schedule, they graciously stopped by to meet me, Lola and Esau.
Time was short, and there was so much I wanted to say and hear... I'm sure I was talking a mile a minute (sorry if that was the case Carol and…

I must say that when I joined this group almost 2 years ago, I never thought I would ever get this involved. I have met some wonderful people due to DoodleKisses that I never would have met otherwise. I have also met some wonderful Doodles! There are now many people who I consider to be friends that I have never actually "met".
This past weekend we had the chance to meet for the 2nd time with Sheri & Mike and their Doodles, Lucy & AnnaBelle. We met them last…

Vern’s birthday was January 10, 2014. He turned four. That is some of the good news. The bad news, which ended with good news, happened the day before his birthday. On that day, like we always do, the dogs and I went walking. I opted to take them to the campground to walk and then I did…
