My darling Holly is seven years old today.  I love her more every day. She is a wonderful friend to Judy and I and to our rescue dogs.  We have a new rescue Yorkie + Poodle mix, named Sydney, who is terrified of other dogs.  Holly will bring her around in a couple of days.  

Surprisingly, Sasha, our Jack Russell + Papillion, mix, is also making the little dog feel at home. I had Sydney and Sasha on my lap together for about an hour this morning.…

Although Holly only weighs in at about 55 pounds, she is a very powerful dog!  Last night I had Holly on a flexi-lead to go on her night time potty.  I had her on the lead because it has been raining and I didn't want her paws to get muddy.

Somehow she tangled her lead with a plastic hose-mobile. And started to drag it.  Hearing the noise of the dragging hose cart, I turned around to see what was making the noise.  At that time the cart fell over with a loud noise which scared…

I was surprised that several of our volunteers had never heard of a "Flying Saucer Dish" so I thought I'd post a picture of one.  It is great for a group of puppies because it keeps the food out around the rim.  I could not find one at Petco so I purchased it online at Revival...…

None of us want to think about dying.  We hate it so much that we don't even want to use that term.  We call it "passing" or some other euphemism.  However, there are few guarantees in the world but, one guarantee is that we will all die eventually!

What happens to our beloved pets who outlive us?  We need to make arrangements for their care and happiness before we die!  It is traumatic enough for a pet to lose its beloved owner but, it is doubly traumatic for a house pet to…
