As many of you know Darwin has been slightly off this summer from the drastic change in home and company. I suspect one of the big reasons was that my SIL Kate left for the summer. Today we decided to head up into Logan Canyon, a very pretty place a few minutes from where we live. It has special meaning to us, DH proposed to me there and we visited it every chance we got. This time I thought I'd try to get some nice photos of Darwin there, since it's so shady and nice. Darwin would also enjoy being outside and exploring.

Just another little update on Darwin. We've been taking him out often with treats and training practice around the apartment and surrounding areas. Hopefully he can start feeling more comfortable, I feel terrible knowing that he's been anxious. It must be very disorienting for him, having us pick up and move, total change of family presence, not to mention that we are still driving back and forth between the two homes once a week (a two hour drive that he doesn't love). Well, we are still living out in the country, preparing to move. Darwin is loving all of the extra people and space of course, and I think he's going to be sad when we leave. The funny thing about it is that there is so much space and places for him to run free but we never let him because he gets so filthy. Not to mention matted and covered in burrs. His coat is just terrible for this type of environment... like velcro. 

So, now that spring has come I decided to get him…

For my birthday this year, I was finally able to get a DSLR camera, which I have been wanting for such a long time! I had a smallish budget but circumstances being as they were, it was basically buy one now or buy one 4 years from now. If any of you knew me in non-cyber world you would know that waiting is almost impossible for me. :-)

Hey, some of you may remember my post about the dog that was howling and crying on the porch in the apartment below me. Well, it stopped for a couple of weeks but just started up again today. It has reminded me that I never updated you guys on what I found out. After leaving notes we finally talked to the guy, and found out that it was happening because the dog is/was in heat. (not sure if she still is and that is why the whining has started up again)

I am currently babysitting my younger siblings this week while my parents are away on a 25th anniversary trip. Because my parents are gone, I have been keeping Darwin in the house with us, (bad me!) and of course, he is doing great. My siblings are really getting a kick out of the "indoor dog" novelty. Anyways, my sister thought she was SO hilarious when she printed this sign for our front door. :-) I think it will scare off any potential intruders for sure... LOL
