Another dissappointment.

I went into one of our pet stores this week. This was a pet store that had taken in OSPCA pets to help them with adoption. I figured that is a store worth supporting. I went in and one of the staff was on the phone talking about the pets they had in the store and what the vet had done and didn't do. He didn't give some shots as they weren't healthy at the time. Thank God we now have a finished ensuite accessible shower!!! Today we went up to the dog park with Neely and Jazzie. We went through the bush area, jazzy stayed on the trails with me Neely ran criss cross all over the place. It was a nice day and a nice walk jaz was really enjoying. Neely was loving it and spent the time from the bush into the creek. Mud up to his butt then back into the bush. I really don't need a crate on a day to day basis.
Our family is flying to quebec and want to take Neely. We need a flight okd crate. This isn't going to be used often at all. I just think spending that money to sit in the garage after one flight is alot to do. I wish I could find one that someone could rent to us for the week. Good business idea. Anyone near Toronto, Stratford London Kitchener with one for a big doodle to travel in for a week? I would appreciate it immensely.

We have had a couple of close calls with Neely getting out of our yard and running away. Our fence is not the problem it is the humans that close the fence. Neely has come home each time he has been called for but who knows how far he got or if he crossed our busy road and just got lucky.

I have been wanting to get an electric fence and my husband didn't want to. I lost it at him after the last little adventure Neely had. So he got one and we installed it today.

I am just pleased that today Neely and I had a long trip up town and around our river and park system. I drove the scooter we have and had Neely stay along side me and get used to it and also did some regular training as well. He did really well running along side the scooter. He did stray a few times across the path in front of the scooter and tryed to get to the other side. I had him walk on the left like he would for the heel position.

Last night I took Neely for a walk. I thought I would take him to the kids play equipment to learn the slide and go through the tunnels ect. The equipment is made out of metal and the stairs are open, as well as the railings on the higher areas. He did not want to go up the steps. I had to get behind him and coax him up. then we went down the slide. I went up next time and he followed very reluctantly. He went down the slide but that was that no more going up those steps.

Well. I guess I've crossed the line. This web site has been encouraging my doodle addiction. My sons say I have turned into one of those annoying dog owners that take thier dogs everywhere, and do nothing but talk about thier dogs. My youngest son thinks I talk about Neely like he is my first born! They told me to shut up about golden doodles!! And Rusty's surfing video was the last straw for them apparently. So dinner time talk of doodles and Neely's new harness and ear cleaning are no longer… Continue
