Jeff and I need a LOT of help with this house and who better to help us than Jeff's parents, Momeaux and Pop! This past weekend, the in-laws showed up with a saw, tool belt, and multiple measure tapes! Oh, yeah and one of these for Jeff and me:…

One of the very best parts about our daycare, Downtown Dog, is they will periodically post photos on Facebook of your pet. It is actually particularly cruel because you see what a ball your dog is having while you are toiling away at work. Last week, this was the photo that Jeff and I observed:…

First delivery? – SNOW!
Although it wasn’t much, it was enough for the boys to enjoy. And best of all – it was a “beautiful thing” to watch as it came down, and a “beautiful thing” to know it had disappeared by the next morning (there is a God!).
As soon as I bundled up and opened the garage door, Leo gathered his balls together to let me know after our walk we were going to play a while……

Well, the temperature has gone up to a toasty 30 degrees and the snow has started to fall. Darwin is loving it, he wants to be out romping in the snow constantly!
Coming off of the beginning of school, having colds, and just being busy in general, we haven't been able to let him have a really good romp, only for a few minutes here or there. Today was no exception unfortunately. I wanted to let him out for a few minutes because he doesn't usually get to play when the snow is actually…

My friends brother went missing Thursday in Chandler, AZ. This is totally out of character for him. Please be on the lookout for him and his truck!!! Thank you!

We learned about this approximately 9-month old Maltipoo who was in the Morena Valley, California (near Riverside) Animal Shelter. She had not been adopted because she was too ragged and filthy and she was too scared in the shelter to allow their volunter groomer to work on her. So it was a "Catch-22" no adoption out of the shelter until she was clean and no bath as long as she was in the shelter and scared stiff...…

Another weekend arrived with lots of wet, sloppy rain.
I’m a mud puppy at heart, but my mom is not overly fond of this trait and decided to try and entertain me inside instead.
I played with lots of toys, but these are not as interesting as grass and sticks and the smells of the outdoors.…

I have never had any interest in photography. When my kids were younger, I was the mother at every event that never had a camera. I just always thought I would rather live the experience than see it through the viewfinder of a camera. When our first daughter was born I did take lots of pictures of her, but by the time the second one came along it just seemed like there were not enough hours in the day to get everything done, let alone pull out the camera and snap pictures. At some point,…

If you do not own any sort of doodle, golden-, Labra-, or Aussie-, you might not be aware of some of their odd, little eccentricities. We certainly did not know until we had Milton home for a few months. Now we are more than aware of all the little unique features that make the Milt, Milt.
1. Last week when Jeff picked up Milton from daycare, he was informed that Milton was having trouble keeping himself clean down there. Of course, I was the one to check the Milt dog…

I read once that “swimming” was supposed to be great exercise for dogs. I don’t think they meant this…
Both boys love the beach, and we try to grant them their wish by running away to a warmer climate for one week during the summer. But what about the other 51 weeks in the year? You can visit umpteen sites on the internet and read about the…

Motherhood (of a human that is) continues to be a wild ride for me - and better than I could have dreamed. Two months ago, when crying was peaking and I was in a fog, I would have maybe not said this. But even though things are still crazy and stressful, Charlotte's little personality is coming out and I couldn't be happier being a mom to a little human girl!
Charlotte turned 4 months on Monday. We get her vaccinations on Friday and I will discuss starting solid foods with…

Auggie is 8 months old today. Where did the time go? He's been home for 6 months already and I'm happy to report that I'm still alive. :-) As you know the first few weeks were really hard for me. But fortunately, puppies grow fast and the humans get used to the chaos eventually.
Auggie still loves to terrorize his older brother Monty and to destroy the backyard. But, he has grown into a very sweet puppy (you can tell this especially when he is separated from his brother). Being used…

Several months ago I was minding my own business when Lynda Kamrath sent me a message asking me to send her some favorite photographs of my dogs taken by my daughter. She was interested in seeing some of my daughter’s photographs, but I noticed immediately she did not ask to see any of my work. She offered to print up our favorite photo as a giclee. Even though I wasn’t sure what a giclee was, I knew I had to have one. …

Lately our dood is just out of control. Well, it's not that bad, but in the heat of the moment, it seems pretty darn bad to us. As you all recall, last Tuesday morning when I left for school, the Milt ripped into my mitten. Well, on Friday morning when I left, our doodle went for Daddy's shoes, once again.…

First a follow-up: All my whining and “sniveling” last week seemed to chase away the wintery white stuff we were told would bury us under. Not one mere flake fell in our area, HOWEVER, Jack Frost isn’t finished with us yet, this week we are expecting frigid, low temperatures for many days – Yikes! But it will be dry. Freezing – but dry – I’m happy!
Now let me tell you about the weekend…
The boys have a…

Hard to believe that little Myla is 5 today! Time flies by so fast. She's been a little spitfire from the beginning and that's why we love her so much! Chloe loves her too, but she's always looking at us wide eyed like Myla's crazy! I had off of work today and we just layed on the couch watching stuff on our DVR that we have fallen behind on. We couldn't go anywhere with them since it's 4 degrees out so after dad got home we gave her her…

This scene happens about three times per day. Milt plays with a ball, Milt loses his ball, and Milt desperately wants it back.…

So.. Luna's coloring makes her look a bit like a lion and one day one of my students saw a picture of her and thought her paws looked like lion paws.
Luna paws:
Lion paws: (I think I see the resemblance but Luna's are of the dainty princess size)…
