Georgia was 4.75lbs at 8 weeks and is now 18 pounds at 10 months. She was projected to be 20 pounds or less, so the breeder was right on.

Max was 10lbs at 8 wks. He now weighs 32lbs at 5 years.

Yogi weighed 8#'s at 8 weeks, but he was also the largest in the litter. He's now 11 weeks and 11#'s. He is projected to be 35-38#'s. So one of the bigger mini's.
I think 5.5 pounds just right! Hope this helps

Does 5.5 lbs sound right for a mini at 8 weeks? What did others weigh at that age, who matured to about 25 lbs?

My little Kona is a double doodle also, and he was also the runt of his litter. When I got him at 8 weeks, he was only 3.5 lbs. his siblings were about 7 lbs. he is still on the small side for his litter but perfect for me. At 10 months, he is 24 lbs and has been at this weight for about 4 months so he is about done I think. His dad (multi gen ALD) was about 20 lbs and his mom (F1b go.dendoodle) was 40 lbs, so he definitely leans towards the true mini side!

Hi guys!  I am a future proud owner of a double doodle pup named Bug... Bug's father was about 30-35 lbs and mother is 40lbs... He is the runt of the litter and at 26 days old weighs just over 2lbs... any idea on how big my lil guy might get?  I know no-one ever knows for sure just wondered if anyone had any input to share :o)

Kristina, due to the fact that Goldendoodles are a mixed breed and not an actual breed they still have a lot of genetic variations. This means that although your daughter doesn't react to a doodle you meet she may react to one you buy, There are several breeds that are more consistently allergy friendly and you might have greater success with one of those breeds. Also, keep in mind that any dog, because he/she goes outside, brings a lot of environment allergens into the house. If your daughter is allergic to pollen and such having a dog will increase her indoor expose to these things too. Speaking from experience on that one. :)

Looking to visit some smaller Goldendoodles in person in the Houston area before getting one. Daughter has allergies.
