Another wonderful groomer that loves doodles and knows what they should look like is Eve at Oswego Veterinary - 503-636-3001. She does a terrific job. Abby and Joey give her two paws up!

Oh, Sarah,

One other advantage of 'Adding a Discussion' through the group's home page is everyone in the group will be able to view the title of your discussion in their inbox. I know, given the number of emails I get a day from Doodlekisses, the more I know of a topic the more likely I am to click on the email and open it, let alone respond.

I just received a msg. from Sarah Borden asking about a groomer in Oregon City. It was a msg. addressed to all Portland Area Doodle members. I couldn't figure any way to reply to the msg., as its not showing up here. Sarah, if you're reading this, and you're new to Doodlekisses, the best way to post a question to the group is either directly on the Comment Wall of the the group's site (basically where I'm posting this), OR Add a Discussion and have your topic posted separately on the group's site (you'll find 'Add a Discussion' just above the dialogs box on the Comment Wall). Either way, people will be able to respond to your question then and everyone will still see it.

To answer your question about groomers, after a year of nightmare groomers I finally found one I love. Unfortunately, she's in Hillsboro. Its a bit of a drive even for me (in the Bethany area), but well worth it. She good and fast and comparble in price to other groomers. She's easy to get in to see too, with short wait times. I couldn't be happier with her, but she is where she is.

Kali is indeed a great trainer. I took a few classes with her and didn't move on as a result of some physical things going on with me. I had back surgery and am well on my way to recovery.  I'd love to resume classes and this is a good reminder.  Her classes are very specific and she is very knowledgeable. I have a fairly fearful dog...not aggressive at all.  The training Kali does gives the dog a place to build confidence, which will likely be very helpful to Melody.

I just want to recommend my trainer Kali and her training 'school': http://www.civisdogtraining.com/Civis_Dog_Training/Welcome.html -- Kali is incredibly skilled, knows dogs well, and if you're willing to work hard can help you reach off leash control of your dog as well as earn titles in obedience if you wish to earn rewards for your hard work.  She has helped me immeasurably long distance (since I was using the same method of training she does) and I have also attended a seminar with her and I've driven to Portland (from Walla Walla, WA) for two sessions with her.

Hi -

Joey is a 9-mo. Australian Labradoodle, loves to play ball, run, and visit other doodles.  We are looking forward to the next romp.

Thanks Debb for the gathering.  Good time!  Below is a short clip of the Doods.  Not very good but best I had.

Any plans for a get together?  We have never made one yet, but my Meggie just loves to play with others and would love to get together with some Doodles.  Anyone out in the Gresham/Troutdale area?  We have a school by my house that dog's can play in the field.

Any pit bull lovers you know in the Portland area?  I have an acquaintance who has basically fostered and trained a nice pitmix female.  She's now FULLY trained and very well trained...she's got 2 legs toward a Novice obedience title and will probably complete her title this coming month.  She's trying to find a great home for her with someone who can keep up with the training and not let it slip.  Her only major flaw is cats.  She absolutely, positively can NOT be kept in a home with cats of any kind.  So if you know someone please contact me and I can give you more details!
