Dewey is five months and is just now losing his baby teeth, and fast. I think Dewey has a bit more growing to do. He's 35 pounds now but I suspect will add another 5 to 10 pounds in the next few months. 20 pounds for Ruffie sounds like he might be on the smaller side at full size. My breeder told me that they slow their growth down around 4 months.
When did your puppies get their adult teeth?
I'm starting to think the vet is totally unfamiliar with doodles.
Ruffie was supposedly 4 months on December 12, because he still had all baby teeth. Now on January 6th, the vet thinks he must be 7 months because he has all adult teeth.
Because Ruffie is a shelter dog, the Vets have been going back and forth on his age. So I'm wondering what is the usual age for getting adult teeth.
Ruffie has stayed at 20 pounds from December 12th up to now. Wondering about that also.
Mary-E, my Springer spaniel was always able to climb out of an ex-pen, over barriers etc. even when after leg surgery.
I left our aussiedoodle puppy home alone today for the first time. He has an ex pen attached to the crate. When the dog walker came, the dog was no where to be found!!! He'd made it all the way upstairs and was in the kids room. I don't know how he got out, but the only possibility is he somehow got to the top of the crate and jumped off of there. Has anyone else had this happen?? I don't really want to have to keep him just in the crate during the day.
