Gus celebrated his second birthday last week so we will not be able to be a part of "Puppy Madness" any longer...It was very enjoyable being a part of this group. Thank you.

Well he isn't going to hold it in forever, lol.....so make sure you go right outside with him after he eats, putting some food in the belly is definitely going to bring his urge back.

No he didn't go, so I know he has to. I think now he may think he's doing something wrong even outside.

Don't feel bad, Jane.....did he go when you scooped him up and took him outside? Just catch him doing the right thing and praise like crazy. I think we all get worked up when we catch them in the act....so give yourself a break!

We brought our puppy (Guinness) home on Friday. He is wonderful and sweet. He's been great with housebreaking, since his breeder had started the training - only one accident since Friday. I just caught him squatting to do a BM in the house and probably overreacted. I ran to him, told him "no" and picked him up and took him out. We've been walking him forever and he won't go. I'm afraid I confused him when I said "no". I feel bad, because I know he has to go. Help?

I'm sad to leave the puppy group, but leave I must, since Mazie turned 2 earlier this month. My baby is now an adolescent! (In my mind, anyway. Not sure about the actual formula for life stages. I know the old "7 years to our 1" isn't quite accurate...) Anyway, enjoy your puppies everyone!

Lily's 1st birthday was 5/15/09! She is a much loved doodle and growing into a very well behaved young lady!

New puppy names? The only non human name we can come up with for our 7 week old pup is Motta or Mo for short. (Motta is a city I use to live in in Sicily, Italy.)

Any other ideas for a cute name for a male pup...blond/with a little choc in color?
