Yay Zeke!!!
Just remember to watch for signs of stress and end the visit early if necessary. Keep it fun for all involved.

Zeke made his first Therapy Dog visit today! He was a success with residents and staff alike at Parkside Nursing Home. He was so well received and mostly well behaved that they invited us to be on a regular schedule for visits. Zeke just loved it!

Since I am a retired Navy Combat Cameraman, I would like to work with the wounded heroes at our two local Naval Hospitals (San Diego and Camp Pendleton).

TDI Test - Divot passed this morning!!! He was such a good boy and went through with flying colors. We were lucky to be able to take the test at the same place where he gets groomed and takes training classes. There were 7 dogs being tested which took 2 hours and 40 min. Right now he's sound asleep. All we need to do now is send in the paperwork and choose a place to start.

@Chelsea,
Try to see if there's an active group nearby (Delta, TDInc, TDI, etc.) and go with them.

@Allison:
I finally heard back from our evaluator/president/instructor. She said that a dog having seizures does not categorically eliminate the dog from being a potential therapy dog. (She actually ran it by Delta Society, to be sure.)

Hi! My Name is Chelsea and I have a 6 month old NM goldendoodle! I am so in love with him! I am currently in a grad program studying spiritual psychology and I have been wanting to certify Brody as a therapy dog but I have no idea where to start! We live in LA, Marina del Rey actually and would love some guidance!

XO

Adrianne,
Samantha will make a great B&B Therapy dog. Once again, congratulations.
