I am inundated of late with DK matters but if you want to post something please go ahead. Everyone is free to start something and however often. Right now I'm leaving notes that I'll come back and read something : )
Awesome group! As a self proclaimed science nerd (I'm currently obtaining my Master's Degree in Marine Mammal Genetics), I can't wait to see what you all think is interesting too! ...obviously anything marine, canine, or genetic grabs my interest :)
Since I transitioned from doing research to education (I teach Science to adult students) I haven't really had as much chance to "nerd out" and discuss sciency things. I think I will enjoy this group a lot!
Oh my Linda, thanks.
Great idea for a group, F! You rock! :)
F, thanks for creating this group, and such a great idea for one. I am fascinated by this stuff, even though most of it is "over my head"!
Janie, Colleen, you're welcome! And you too Adina : )
Cook, add salt to boilng water etc.,etc.
Colleen, don't worry. I don't think you have to be good at the technical parts of science (chemistry, biology, physics, etc) to enjoy the big picture of science: coming up with answers to life's questions based on the evidence we have. Really we all practice science to the degree that we use reason, evidence, facts and logic to figure things out, make choices, train our dogs, choose dog food, etc.
