Some of you may remember that I was concerned about Murphy’s bad breath. It smelled so noticeably bad you could smell his breath from across the room. The only way I can describe it is a bad fishy smell. He was also acting like he didn’t feel well. He just didn’t seem to be himself.
We scanned the internet for remedies for doggy bad breath and did many of the recommended things like brushing his teeth with baking soda.
I also found something that said bad breath may mean…

Just spent the day with loads of doodles. Cody and I had a blast. We made so many new friends. They (the doodles) were amazing. All different sizes and colors and coats. The all played so wonderfully together. Of course Cody found the mud. But what's alittle mud when he had so much…

Day One - we headed off for a car ride - Toby quite happy in the back seat. We got to the vet, and they were lovely. Kind and loving to Toby, patient with us. Then we left. It made me so sad to walk away and leave him. But I knew he was in good hands.
The vet phoned around 2, and told us Toby did well, he did indeed have a testicle in his abdomen, but everything was fine. We could come any time after 4 o'clock. We headed off around 5, and picked up Toby. The poor baby - he was so…

She'll also crawl on top of me and sleep on the sofa while I'm lying there. But you gotta love…

Since I don't know much at all of Cali's history, I tend to watch how she reacts to many things. When we first got her, she was so timid of so much. If I moved too quick, she would run and hide. We learned which things bothered her and reassured her over and over that it was ok. I have been slowly trying to introduce her to new things and for the most part she has been quite willing to check them out with lots of reassurance and knowing that either DH or I are right there never out of her…

This is it--the weekend Phoebe arrives!!! My husband will pick her up at the airport on Sunday (3/1) while my children and I do the final preparations back at the house. Our excitement is palpable. I cannot believe we made it--well, almost--the eight weeks to see her. It is truly a testament to my children's ability that they have made it through this week with tests and homework--and they did it so well. We cannot wait to cuddle our new little doodle girl.

Thing 2 aka Java Joe Doodle no longer sheds! Joe was a rehome. He had another life far, far away from the heat of sunny South Carolina. Joe 's first home was in Florida at Tegan Park, and when he was 8 weeks old he went to the Catskills of New York where he lived for 4 weeks. The owner had severe allergies and while she was not allergic to his fur, she was allergic when he licked her- which he liked to do!
Joe was given to my family and all we had to do was fly him to South Carolina.…

I was putting together a list for Murphy for a dog event here.
His goes something like this:
1. Be King of Mardi Paws.
2. Eat inside at Rip's on the Lake.
3. Have more tennis balls than I can handle.
4. Have my own swimming pool.
5. Have all the CheezWiz I can eat.
6. Get as muddy as I can.
7. Cruise A1A with the top down.
8. Play on the beach all day.
What would be on your Doodle's list?

Yipee! after a year of searching, we have finally found the best dog sitter ever!
she was asked just to keep Louie company last night as we were at work all day and had to go straight out to a meeting in the evening that lasted all night long. I didn't want to leave him alone for that long.
all she had to do was sit with him, however after returning to a thoroughly pooped out doodle, we learned she had taken him for a gentle (he is still recovering from him neutering) walk around the…

Jess is Phoebe's Daddy. He was walking her when his attack came on. Jess exercised regularly, enjoying running and spin classes. He ate right, never abused his body.
He is now fighting for his life at Mayo in Scottsdale. His body will be scanned tomorrow to see if there is brain/organ damage and if he is a candidate for a heart transplant. There is a 10% his own heart may become “un-stunned.” (my wish)
Our Phoebe Doo loves this man,…

As seen in the video: Cricket Says Knock You Out!(Safety Note: Hang toys at mouth-height. Don't hang too low or dog might get tangled in the rope. And don't hang too high. Dog should be able to keep their back feet on the ground while hanging onto the toy.
For supervised play only.)
And now, on to the fun stuff! :)

I am considering an f1b labradoodle but was wondering if it is the norm for them to have beards and stinky faces like shnauzers and certain terriers? The parents of the litter I'm considetring are both standard size and I know that usually it is the miniature poodles that have the tear staining, but not sure about the standard size poodles.
Can anyone shed some light on this for me? Goldendoodles do not look like thay have stinky faces but I could be wrong, Thanks!

Hello everyone,
Diane has entered her gorgeous Doodle, Ruby, into the Bissell photo contest. She has graciously offered to donate the winning funds to the Gabby Jack Ranch, if Ruby takes the prize!
So, please, follow this link, or cut and paste it to your address bar, and vote! It would mean a lot.

Emma is our
everything! She makes us laugh when nothing else in life is laughable. She's helped our Golden Retriever, Sadie, to live longer and is the best playmate. Does it get any better? I know it'd only get better if we could get rid of her mats! I don't like getting fussed at by the groomer. Poor thing... Thanks for teaching me how to post photos!

So this puppy that we're eagerly anticipating...this puppy was supposed to be Tucker's buddy. The pup that would help to keep Tuck young as he entered his senior years. We'd had it planned that way forever..."potty train the baby, then potty train a puppy!", that was the plan. Worked so well with the dog I had growing up: you time it just right, before the eldest is too old and grumpy to appreciate a crazy, nipping little thing, and you have a bit of a fountain of youth. I truly believe it. But…
