Velcro Puppy

Rooney has been a little velcro pup from the day that we first got him, I had never had a dog like that before and it took a little getting used to. O.K. it drove me nuts for a little while but then I adjusted. For those of you that don't have a velcro puppy let me give you the flavor. Seriously, could anything else happen today!!!

Okay so today started with Bruno being fed a wipe by my 1 year old that he can apparently swallow in 2 seconds because it was gone! Midday I find a tick on Bruno but of course he can't sit for a second so I have to wait for the calvary to come home and help! Now as I prepare for my daughters birthday I hear my mother say, "What does Bruno have in his mouth(he was outside)". I go to let him in and there is a giant piece of poop that he is just chewing on! Forgive me for bragging!

Tonight I am going to my youngest son's high school to watch his last musical as a high school student. He and his best friend are the male leads. I am a bit sad, he has had such a great experience. However I am filled with such pride. Do Good Things Happen In Threes Too??

This week has been a tough week. My DH has been gone most of the week and with Vern getting up a lot at night, I was not getting enough sleep. I have posted before about Vern being a bit of a night owl and got some great feedback and suggestions. The one I liked best was from a member that said they let there dog roam at night. Comings and Goings

Today is a good day. We are adding another Ldoodle to our pack which already consists of 1 Lab and 4 Ldoodles. She is hopefully going to end up as a large mini or small medium and be bred to my Chocolate boy Crosby who will be a large Med. Bonnie is a true apricot in color and her name means 'pretty girl' in Gaelic.

My son and I are very excited about Bonnie, but at the same time there is a bit of sadness in our house as next week we send our Waffle off to his forever home…

Puppies and Pilates don't mix.

I dug out and dusted off my pilates DVD and mat today with the intention of getting in shape and shedding some winter weight. I soon found out this was going to be more challenging than I had expected due to the fact that Stella had appointed herself as my "personal trainer". Momma said a REALLY naughty word.

Third week of AKC STAR puppy training...Momma has been SOOOO happy with my training AT home. I can FOCUS, I have really worked on SIT AND STAY...and even DOWN AND STAY (hey, I didn't even know what that meant until this past weekend). Hey, you give me a cookie (Momma just got some freeze-dried 100% beef liver treats) and I will recite the alphabet! Heck, I can do SIT, DOWN and STAY with hand signals.

WTD...Momma was NOT happy tonight in class...there were WAY too many…

Rusty's Update, 14th Month Ampuversary

Friday the 25th marks the 14th month of Rusty’s amputation; it is hard to believe that it has been over a year since his battle with cancer began. This update is a little more difficult for me to write as Rusty seems to be entering a new phase in his battle with cancer.

Home Alone With Dad....

Yep, dad thought it was going to be all fun and games with me when mom left for work yesterday. Dad doesn't know what it's like to spend a day home alone with me. He doesn't know that mom and I take a long walk every morning after breakfast. I love my long walks with mom...and when we get back home I find a nice sunny spot on the rug to take a good nap. Why does'nt he just pick up?

Our backyard has a big field that is used in warmer weather for playing volleyball, playing catch with my 3 children, and we have a swingset there too. This would have been a wonderful place for my 2 pups to run and play in.

SInce we have 2 pups upstairs, i have been potty training them in our front yard, and been cleaning up after them. We have children & i make it a mission to get our lawn looking (smelling) clean!

Man it's been an exciting week for Darwin!

Linda, of Linda and Murphy was kind enough to send me a Utah geology book. We were talking about interesting rocks in Utah and my upcoming Bryce Canyon trip and she was so nice to offer it to me! Closing on Friday! YARD time

The mortgage industry is crazy these days and I think they enjoy making clients squirm. 72-hours prior to our scheduled close, we JUST received final approval on our loan. To say I have been a wreck is an understatement :)
