Labradoodle & Goldendoodle Forum
We recently let our doodles free in the house and when we leave and drive past the house, they are on the back of the couch in the window watching for our car. I often wondered what they did once we turned the corner...for the most part I found out they don't touch their toys-Chloe just sits in the window and waits for us sometimes falls asleep on the back of the couch-she has great balance. Myla is a little more restless, she's up and down off the couch goes to the door and cries and then…

I just can't believe that my Gracie Doodle has been in my life for 4 years. It is like she has always been there. She is my best friend! I am going through some hard times right now and she always knows when I need an extra kiss or hug. She is by my side when she knows I am sad and she understands when there are days where I am gone all day and can't get to walk her. Gracie makes me a better person every day that we are together. I just can't imagine my life without her. Happy…

Today I started watching a six week old baby, a friend of mines baby. I was pretty nervous about how Jack would be with the baby since he likes to be the center of attention. I didn't have a lot of time to research them meeting each other because it was kind of last minute.
So I brought the baby home, Jack was so excited. He was hyper actually, so I put him in a down stay for a few minutes. He wanted to see the baby, I let him smell the infant seat, and then the baby. ( The…

It has been a really "lousy" few days in our house. On Sunday we took my son and a friend to McDonald's for lunch. I was carrying the tray full of food and drinks when I sneezed. In trying not to drop the tray, I did something to my back...I heard a "pop" and then couldn't even move. Trying to get me out to the car would have made a perfect sitcom episode. Being an optimist I figured that if I just went to bed and stayed there overnight, I'd be fine by Monday. Not a chance. I got in a…

For those of you who work from home, do you get Doodle guilt? I know puppies and dogs sleep a lot, that's normal, but as the sun starts to become a more regular occurrence I'm feeling more and more guilty watching Bern mope around the house because I can't play with him every second!
It doesn't help that I just took on a new client and am juggling a new schedule.
Do you all go through this? I realize there's not much I can do - if I worked out of the house he'd be here alone…

Penny and I went in for her first round of chemo today.
It's a testament to the stress-free environment of the oncology office that Penny wasn't at all stressed and took it like a champ.
The entire process took about an hour. First, blood tests to establish a baseline for things like if the cancer has spread, and to measure bone marrow…

We are heading to Purdue bright and early tomorrow morning for Remington's consultation with the soft tissue specialists at Purdue. As you probably already know, I'm a complete mess. I have 2 full pages of questions to ask when I get there. We have been busy getting his food together, picking out a toy for his stay, and figuring out directions to the clinic. I'm soooo nervous and my stomach is FULL of butterflies.
Here's what will happen in the next couple of days...…

After reading several blog posts and discussions about Doodle Moms with OCD...I think there should be a new acronym. OCDM. We have one Doodle Mom who MUST have all of the toys neatly kept in the toy box (I happen to agree with Murphy...you can't PLAY with toys when they are in the box). We have another Doodle Mom who worries too much about, well, just about everything (I am just like that too, Jennifer).
Are you ready for what OCDM stands for? …

We have my parents visiting us for 2 weeks and to say they are not dog people would be putting it mildly. However, I discussed with them that our dogs stay indoors, behave well and don't smell or bite or jump on anyone. They said "No problem" before they got here.
Well, it appears that it is a problem as all I hear is "Get away from me you mutt", Get out of here!" GO away Dog!" it just hurts me to hear them talk to them in a harsh manner and push them away when they just want to be…
