Today is our Sheba's 2nd Birthday.  Her Birthday wish was to play outside with Mom & Dad and a few buddies.

She was so excited that she got 10 new Frisbees for her birthday, so she had plenty to share with everyone.

Our Holly wishes Fudge a very happy birthday.  Holly is three years old today.  Holly got her name because she was born on Christmas Day...  We wanted to call her Noel but, you can't tell a dog, "No, Noel!".  For
about the first year, Holly thought that her name was "No  Holly!".

Well, mums back seems to be a lot better and she says she is now finally ready for Christmas!!  I can't wait to see whats inside all that shiney paper under the tree, still not too sure why there is a tree in our sitting room, perhaps mums back has affected her mind as welll!!  Trees are for outside in the garden or the park.

The fridge is full with goodies and smells are wonderful throughout the house.

Rua's MOM here for a change.  Rua just went to bed...and as usual, she doesn't make any fuss.  And, as usual, when my alarm goes off tomorrow morning, and after I hit the snooze a few times, she'll get up when I open the crate.

I have 5 fabulous days off!  No work, no shopping to do (except for some wine).  Don't have to clean house, cook dinner or clean up after!  I am LOVING that!  We will drive north to Shoreview Minnesota on Christmas Eve early AM as my DH has to work…

I just saw a post on Facebook and thought that we could do the same on DK.  There is a little boy that is 9 years old in Canal Fulton, Ohio named Ryan Trewin that my daughter went to school with - I posted a link below with a YouTube video on his story. The post on Facebook suggested sending Christmas cards to him and I thought about the Doodle Christmas Card Exchange and how awesome it would be for him to get all of the doodle cards? What funny things do your doodles do to demand your attention? Hudson never gets into anything. We are very lucky because even as a puppy he rarely got into anything. He does, however, take items of interest (usually pens/pencils) and will sit close by with it hanging out of his mouth. He usually just sits like a statue by the sofa and stares in your direction, trying to get you to look at him. Once in awhile he will do a walk by with the forbidden object, with a glance upwards of his eyes…

I ordered medium antlers to see if our 94 pound doodle and his 10 week old half brother would like them. We discovered at that point that Kona is an extremely aggressive chewer. Medium would have been a good size for Owen but Kona needed something else. I wrote to Antler Pantry asking for advice. Linda responded that I should order XL elk antlers and specify that we need very dense ones. They arrived in the mail yesterday. One XL and one L. Because she chose the antlers for their density…

Holly hasn't been getting as much exercise as she usually gets running around our big yard.  It has been raining constantly since Friday and this is unusual here in San Diego County, California.  I don't know how much rain we have received but, we have emptied Holly's outdoor water bowl at least once and it is almost filled up again.  The bowl is about 8 inches deep.  We live 1,500 feet above sea level and, while that isn't very high in comparison with some areas,…

The intelligence of these dogs is quite unnerving:

At about 6 months he worked out how to lift the catch on his pen.

Very soon after me got a new child gate, he realised that sometimes it doesn't get shut quite right and if he can just get his nose under the latch he has the freedom of the house.

And now he has graduated to he washing machine...

he can squeeze the door handle in his teeth and pull it open...

after a couple of times of finding my clean…
