Hi we are new to this site and are happy to see that we have many doodle cousins here in the valley of the sun. We were hoping that we could join any Romps in the Phoenix Area. If you know of any can you please let us know? We know that it is super hot now so maybe when the weather cools, unless there is a Romp in a pool.

What we thought was just a hot spot turned out to me more. Brodie (14mos) developed a hot spot on his rear right knee on the inside of the leg. Off to the vet we went and after a week of treatment the skin was clear but he was limping on the leg really bad. We had him swim to see if it was just a stiff muscle from playing so much. My son-in-Law finally got his boat operational. It is a 38 foot 2005 Tiara.  We have been waiting for this for months and went out today even though the weather wasn't great.  A hurricane is skirting Southern California from Baja California, Mexico and we got into some pretty mucky weather.  At one time we were caught in a 7 mile radius storm cell with lightning strikes all over.

Puppies were born on their due date, July 10th between 12:30-6:30 in the morning. There are 5 boys and 2 girls. Four parti's and 3 solids. Momma and puppies are doing well! Now we just have to wait to see who we get matched with at 7 weeks. :)

So I have been putting off doing this a little.  Mostly because I felt like I might go to pieces as soon as I started it.  This is something I didnt expect to be doing so soon.   As many of you are probably aware, the saga of prisoners who escaped the Dannemora Prison in Upstate New York is OVER!  I live near the area that was heavily searched and it's so nice to be able to feel free again.  SIGH!  We are truly thankful of all of the law enforcement officers who kept us safe for three weeks.  

  During part of those three weeks I took a little jaunt to meet my puppy's mom.  She's due in a few weeks and I'm thrilled about that.

I recently lost my father in November and in December I lost my 15 year old dog, Misty Mae... The two losses entwined themselves in my grief.

The recent decision to bring a doodle pup into my life has perked me up but I am scared. I'm afraid of change. It hurts. It literally hurts. Many thoughts come into my head and heart. Will I groom properly? Do I have the energy? Will we bond?

Last week I had to babysit my grandson and leave the dogs at home.  It has come to pass that I have to try and conceal my suitcases and packing from Fudge in the hopes that I can accomplish things faster. From the time she sees the suitcases until the time I leave, I have to contend with her stares whenever I look up and her constant shadowing of me around every corner.  She gets clingier to me at night and I feel so guilty about the worry I see on her face. Yesterday was Harley's 3 month birthday and his big surprise was conquering the stairs! Yup. He went down them for the first time!

Our wonderful Ruby is now 7 months old and continues to bring so much love and humor into our lives. She is a great traveler and enjoys meeting people everywhere. She loves babies, toddlers, kids of every age. She stops on the trail to say hi. She can't get enough of people.

Okay, that's fine--but she's mostly timid or uninterested in other dogs. We took her to puppy socials when she was younger and she mostly hid under a bench. We went to a doodle meet-up yesterday and she hung out…

It's been an exciting week.  Paz was allowed by a New York State Supreme Court judge to accompany the kidnapping victim he had been supporting, into the courtroom and remain with her during the entire sentencing hearing of the man who had kidnapped her, and her two year old child.  He remained next to her when she confronted the man, and gave her impact statement.  When we arrived at the NY State Supreme Court, we were surrounded by flashing cameras and reporters who had gotten word that a…
