Labradoodle & Goldendoodle Forum
I really wanted to take some cute outdoor shots today for the fifth week photos, but it rained on and off--so I got them outside briefly for head shots and some play--of course, the grass was wet and they were a mess quickly, but still cute!
I am using a new litter box system with these pups--I use a kitty litter called Yesterday's news and I sprinkle it on puppy pads (a large area of them) for the first few weeks after their eyes open--when they are using the pads consistently, I…

We have the most wonderful goldendoodle,Hagal , who is a consumer owned service dog. Trained by me,since 10 weeks used by my now very ill, husband. Over a year ago at not quite 3,he passed his service dog "boards" with UDS in Lancaster, PA. Hagal, whose name means "the wave" in Hebrew, is about 75 pounds . He is smaller than skipJACK who was a rescue doodle with us for 12 years before Hagal.
one week ago ,i was up all night with a very ill pup. He was vomiting constantly, had become…

Our bed broke last night, which might not seem like that big of a deal, unless I tell you it was the middle of the night, we were sound asleep, when John’s side ended up on the floor. I can tell you, from firsthand experience now, that having your bed make a loud noise and crash works better than any snooze alarm I have ever had in waking a person up. The thing is the bed has been telling us something was wrong for quite some time, but since John’s motto has always been, “let’s pretend…

Charlie is our rescue mini goldendoodle...
I heard Charlie barking non-stop and though that he wanted to go see the chickens whom he loves. However something seemed strange about the tone of his barking.
As I rounded the corner into the patio by my kitchen door, I saw that he was barking at the shoes I had…

Getting cuter by the day! Momma dog is still so great with them and now gets into the playing--so gentle with them and they love it!
These are their four week portraits, starting with the 6 girls...but the breeder requested one more hat photo, so I will start with that one--too cute!…

Not really, yes tomorrow is my 75th B-day and yes, we are getting 11-dogs. But, we won't have them with us permanently.
Maltese Rescue California is on a list of rescues who will get dogs from breeders when the breeders are over their allotted number of dogs or if the breeder is not up to Animal Control standards. Animal control would rather have the breeder turn the dogs over to a rescue, like us, than confiscate the dogs and try to have them adopted from the…

Hi
My dog Shadow is 2 yrs old. Its a golden doodle. Its a lovely dog.
From the time he was a puppy most of the time he was not able to find the ball. I recently noticed him dashing on the open closets. I took him to the ophthalmologists. Shadow was diagnosed with cataract in both the eyes. The ophthalmologists also mentioned the cataract is matured and it has started to dissolve.
I'm from India. This is my first dog. I don't have pet insurance for…

It's that time again! For those of you who followed my puppy blogs in the past, I always put hats on my pups when they reach the three week old mark--these hats are from elaborate clothing you can get for a toy called a Muffy bear. So, yesterday was the day! And here are the results! (One puppy is missing--his photos were blurry and need a do over!)
(More to come in the comments section--somehow, I am always limited to a certain number of pictures...)…

Have you been on DoodleKisses long enough to start wondering what it would be like to meet some of the people you “talk” to about your dogs on a frequent basis? That is what happened to some of us a few years back when Jane (Rooney and Stuart) decided to organize a cruise for her fellow Doodlers. I signed up almost immediately and wavered between thinking this was one of the dumbest things I had ever done to waiting with anticipation for the upcoming event. When I signed up, I really…

Where does the time go? My baby Auggie-doggie is three today! Seriously?!?
Those of you who remember my early struggle with him as a second "child" would love to know that he is such a great and goofy doodle. I love him to pieces. And no, I don't compare him to Monty anymore. They are both different in a wonderful way. After Monty's knee surgery, I got to spent more time alone with Augustus. He grew into a happy silly and sweet boy. I think he is one of those dogs that never fully…

Yes, I did say 11! Momma had an easy time and all went well--signs of labor started on May 1st, but she was due on May 6th and we managed to keep them all in there until the 5th--all were large, vigorous and active pups! 6 girls, 5 boys...8 blacks, two chocolates and one apricot!
Momma Gliss was very tired by the end of the four hours of whelping, but after a nap she was up and trotting around the yard--she is an athletic active girl who has been a terrific momma! She has finally…

One of our four young hens jumped out of the hen box as Judy was changing water for the birds. Holly saw it and carried it away in her mouth. Judy yelled, Holly drop it and Holly dropped the hen who was a bit flustered but, luckily not hurt at all. I don't think Holly was malicious, just curious what this thing running around her yard was...
Anyway, we have a hen house set up and I am going to build a run alongside it.
We plan for these hens to be egg layers not eating…

Hi,
I was looking around on here and realized I had a lot of messages that I never saw. I am SO sorry. I haven't been on here very often, no where near as much as I would like to be.
Life is incredible right now, so I guess it is a good thing. So many of you have asked how I am doing…. I post a lot on my FB page, feel free to friend request me (Jennifer Champy)
As you mostly all know I had a massive life saving surgery in October of this…

Paz's renewal evaluation for his Pet Partner therapy registration took place this past Tuesday, and he achieved a complex rating. His prior registration had a predictable rating, so I had not anticipated he would achieve the complex rating because he can be somewhat goofy when he is being tested. I'm always nervous when we are being tested, because Paz acts like a big goof.....honestly, it can be embarrassing. When Paz is working, he is the ultimate professional pooch, but when he is…

Just wanted to let you all know that after a week of deliberations, the jury delivered a verdict in the kidnapping trial in which Paz provided support for the victim. The jury convicted the defendant on all counts, including kidnapping, rape, and assault. The most serious charges carry penalties of 50 years to life, and the sentencing will be on June 1, and the victim will most likely give an impact statement ( so Paz will most likely accompany her to the court)! Am so happy that justice…

Does DK have a group for dirtiest doodles? I'd like to enter Shaggy!
Shaggy decided to go swampn' last week. This is the most muck covered he's ever been after a trip to the stinky, slimy, black pit of a swamp. I was not thrilled!!…

I didn't have to travel to the Phoenix area to pick up Charlie Doodle. His Foster Mom's niece traveled to California on Thursday and I met her in San Bernardino to pick up Charlie. What a difference, it's 90-miles to San Bernardino and over 350-mikes to Phoenix. That would have meant a lot more gas as well as expense for a motel and meals…

It’s Sunday morning. I should be out walking the dog right now. I am lost. I am gutted. I don’t know what to do with myself except try to keep busy so that I don’t have to think. My dog is gone.
Almost two weeks ago now, just after he turned 11 years old, Beasley began to cough. It wasn’t like…
