Doodle Aggression?

Last night I witnessed some disturbing aggressive behavior from my normally super sweet Teddy 1.5 year old GD to another dog. We are traveling this weekend with Teddy (normally we live in the country - super quiet, we are currently in the heart of Los Angeles) so I know he is out of sorts and his element. What was mom thinking.

So yesterday the 2nd moms freind droped by and left her 2 little dogs at my house. Mom said that one was a breed called a Jack Russel and the other is a terrior. Well what was she thinking she didnt ask me first. I will be glad when they go back home on monday.

The jack is ok but it likes to try to play with me all the time and the other is just plain anoying. Someone forgot to tell him that im spayed and hes neutered. Its a site to see him try to bother me that way he is little.

Can't Decide on a Name!!!

Hi everyone. We got back today with our new puppy. We are exhausted from all the driving since we left at 6am yesterday and got home at 4:30 PM today. I did pick up the other lady's puppy, had no problems whatsoever.

Doodle Daddy, Two Months Home

Happy 4th of July everyone!

Jess has been home for a little over two months. He is making the best with what he has and continues in his cardiac rehab. He will have a defibrillator put in on the 9th. So far we have been keeping him safe. He is happy and we are managing to get back to old routines, adding Mayo trips and rehab to "routine." If there is any couple who can make a date out of going up to Mayo, it is us!

Mickey Is Home

Mickey is our first foster. He is an F1b Chocolate Doodle, born February 9, 2009 (Samantha's birthday is February 9, 2008) He is so adorable, skinny (I feel every rib and vertebrae on his body), scared - all of which I can change. 11 weeks old and 3 weeks in!

Hi everyone. What can I say? Penny is definitely part of the family now...as she should be, considering how much of my time she occupies when she's awake...which is a lot! I've had work in this week too, talk about time management!

Fireworks and Yankee

Well, our fireworks are going off as we speak. Yankee was a little nervous at first and hovering around me. He was panting and seemed uncomfortable. I have been ignoring him so now he has gone to lay on the couch and watch me on the computer like he usually does.

It gets quiet for awhile and then the fireworks start again. I think he is getting used to it.

First Grooming Blues

I've got the first puppy grooming blues....Went to Pet Smart for trim around his face, bath, ears, etc. He hated it...cried through the whole thing. They blew him dry which made him have "big hair". My husband thought I had the wrong dog. And, he really smells like a girl wearing very cheap perfume. Looks like I'll be learning how to do this myself for the future.

Remington meets Cassy the Doodle :)

Last evening Dan and I went to the Dog Park around 7ish. There was a good amount of dogs in there when we arrived. IS IT TIME?

Two years ago, my ex-husband told me I should have my 14 year old GR, Boomer, put down, and as usual, he was wrong! ;-) Boomer has been suffering with arthritis for about 3-4 years. It is quite bad he is taking rimadyl 2x per day. He will only go outside to go potty when absolutely necessary. Sometimes he eats, sometimes he has to be coaxed. Goldendoodle Vacay

Atty update: 17.6 lbs and growing.

Well, call us crazy, but we're loading up our three month old GD Atticus on a trip to the Gulf Coast for ten or so days! We've packed up bags full of his food, treats, toys, his medical records/rabies cert. etc. We bought a travel crate at Target that just pops up like a tent. We've mapped out hotels with pet policies. Class #2 of Intermediate Obedience.

No luck. Yep Fergie did do great but I didn't want her to. Today our big lesson was getting her to come to you when you're out of site. I personally think 8 wk old pups will do that most of the time. We did do a little bit of agility work (10 minutes) which she hadn't done and was somewhat fun but I can't follow through with that because she wouldn't be able to compete for quite a few years (She's a dood and not fixed) so I'm not interested in that either.
