Mickey's First Week

He is such a joy!! Growing both physically and emotionally. He initiates real puppy play with Samantha. He no longer uses the step and mirror as his 'home base'! The submissive peeing is just an occaisional thing. He eats like a little pig and just LOVES to sneak and eat Samantha's big girl kibble. Getting him to take medicine had me crazy until tonight - he loves cooked ground beef - hopefully that will last.

Well, It Is Called Doodle Kisses For A Reason...

Harlow was having a serious conversation with me concerning how DoodleKisses.com got its name. She being a curious young Doodle was contemplating why a website called Doodle Kisses didn’t show more pictures of Doodles kissing their people. Stormy Night

Am I the only doodle owner who is kicked out of their own bed when it Thunders? Last Saturday night as my husband and I slept peacefully we were rocked out of our bed by the thunder of four paws and two children running down the hallway and leaping into our bed!!! Bailey took up the entire bottom part of our bed with his head under the covers, wish I had my camera charged, it was quite a site!!!

One month and loving it!

Kai has been with us for one month now. Things have changed around here! First there is the pool for his swimming pleasure. He is after all a California Doodle!

Where it was once Keith & Kathy at Starbuck's and walking on the Strand, Kai is now a regular in what people nicely call his Doggie Sling, really a front pack that keeps him away from other possibly non vaccinated dogs.

He has the potty bells down. :-)

sucking up to sister

That evil gleam in Rosco's eye is not merely a camera phone/lighting effect...that little gleam is there because he wasn't just being sweet and cuddly...he WANTED the bone Thule was blissfully enjoying but not quite brave enough to take it. But he sure looked cute =)

Thanks to All!

I just wanted to say thank you very much to everyone that sent me and my daughter their best wishes and sympathy as we deal with the loss of our Teddy.

This weekend was much better than last week. We were able to talk and share stories and laugh a lot this weekend about the goofy stuff he did. And there were even memories that I had forgotten!

Seizure Info

On 7/7/09 at 6:00 a.m. my 2 1/2 yr old male F2 Golden Doodle had a seizure. We heard him convulsing and ran out to the living room where he was on his left side, foaming at the mouth and had lost all control of his bowls. He was flailing terrible and it was the worse thing I had ever seen. Thankfully I was refered to this website by Sharon and Andy. unexpectly my husband walked out on me and she needs attention. She is kennel trained . housebroke and very loving and compliant, also leash trained. ;*-(

Bath day

So today 7-11-09 i got a bath.I get bathed at a place called Suds-um -yourself

Nothing fancy because moms letting me become a scragaly pup again.

Mom first just evened up my mowhawk then a little thining of my beard.

Then she put me into the tub and but a whitning shampoo on me reinsed then added a oatmeal shampoo then rainsed again.

Double Duty- new puppies and a rescue!

Today was a big day over here in my world. Our Riley Doodle had her very first litter- 9 pups total! Mom and babies are all settled in for the big sleep now. 5 females and 4 males.

I had also committed to taking a Dachsund from our local shelter. His kill date would've been today. They couldn't get him placed due to a partial amputation of his front foot. Pongo is 25 weeks old today!

Well its been a while since I posted a blog.... time is going too fast!!! I weighed Pongo today and he weighs 23 lbs. He is 25 weeks old today!! He is such a wonderful little dog, we love him so much! He enjoys going onto the local park and meeting up with his doggy friends. He's such a happy boy, he absolutely LOVES people!!

scardie doodle

Last night I took Neely for a walk. I thought I would take him to the kids play equipment to learn the slide and go through the tunnels ect. The equipment is made out of metal and the stairs are open, as well as the railings on the higher areas. He did not want to go up the steps. I had to get behind him and coax him up. then we went down the slide. I went up next time and he followed very reluctantly. He went down the slide but that was that no more going up those steps.

TGIF!

Whew! Finally Friday! It has been a long week at work; more than a few 12 hour days. That is the joy of working in IT when a big project is down to the final weeks before ‘go live’. But no matter how late I get home from work, our dogs are always there to greet me. The boys have always been happy to see me, but they are litter mates and have never been separated. annoying doodle parents

Well. I guess I've crossed the line. This web site has been encouraging my doodle addiction. My sons say I have turned into one of those annoying dog owners that take thier dogs everywhere, and do nothing but talk about thier dogs. My youngest son thinks I talk about Neely like he is my first born! They told me to shut up about golden doodles!! And Rusty's surfing video was the last straw for them apparently. 12 weeks old and 4 weeks in!

Hi everyone!

Penny had her 2nd set of shots on Tuesday and is in the best of health, gaining in weight from 11lbs three weeks ago, to 17lbs now....what a moose!

Walking her on the leash is still going well, but she's now trying to assert herself more, and I'm having to check her a lot more, but that's to be expected as she gains in confidence. I'm still in charge though, and she knows it...most of the time.
