Cesar Millan! Don't ruffle your tails just yet:-) !!!

It appears that a new focus on his show, is that he will take a dog from a family who did not put much research into the dogs type of energy level and swap it for one of his pack/group dogs at his center which fits the families needs better. He then keeps their dog as his own until he find the right family for it. I think this is a great alternative for families who choose the wrong type of dog, then get frustrated and end up putting the dog down.
He is also pushing certain "anxiety" issue dog families to get a second dog to help the anxious dog. The neat thing was that "he" hand picked the "helper" dog from a shelter, took it to his center to make sure it was balanced, then gave it to the family. It appeared to work very well for the anxious dog that had separation anxiety issues with his family. Just a thought, but what a great way of stopping "bad" dogs from being put down.

I happen to like a lot of what Cesar does, although not everything sits well with me. I know he is very controversial! I met him at an airport once and he is a very nice man to talk to--he gave me a few minutes of his time and was friendly--I found out later on that he was going home to be with "Big Daddy", his beloved pit bull, who died the next day.

I like a lot of what he says. You can't deny that he loves and cares for dogs deeply.  I have channeled him!!

I think this is a great idea. So many people just have "bad fits" and all they need was the right kind of dog for them...Oh that we could do the same with "our children"...That being said, for all of those who have not had the pleasure of "teenagers" ...you wont really understand these words...for all of those out there who have...you will totally get it :)

Oooochhh Jane "three girls"...I guess that is why you are so comfortable with two doodle girls...WE LOVE their names by the way. Beautiful girls......and I know for sure they are a darn more easier than raising children ha ha.  Happy Days....x

I love Cesar Milan! I can never seem to get the same effects after using the same methods he does, but I mostly watch him for entertainment.  You can tell he loves animals, and you know he is doing it for the right reasons.... Now that show called Puppy SOS and At the end of my leash with Brad Pattison, I cant stand watching! Hes a farce. :o thats just my opinion though haha :)

I have not heard of these other shows. Are they take-offs of Me or the dog and Dog whisperer? It's funny, people are so opinionated about Cesar. I just look at it like Buddhist religion; take from it what works for you and leave the rest. No need to get upset about the differences:-)

One thing I really like about Cesar is that he never gives up on a dog, and I think that this idea for the show really demonstrates that. He has infinite patience with the dogs he works with, and really believes that all dogs can be rehabilitated. I think it's really magical to watch him work--whether or not you would use his techniques with your own dog.

I have seen episodes were people he has gone to visit end up putting done their dog. He gets very upset!

I think when you watch shows like this one you have be open minded and except that you may disagree, but that doesn't mean he is not genuine.  Look at the show I think it is called Pit Boss. I disagree with his tactics, but respect his love and devotion for the breed.

I love to watch Cesar however my DH sits across from me mocking him, yeah that took 3 seconds on tv but how long did it REALLY take him before they filmed the results?? Who cares? It worked! I love him but I don't agree with him always.

I know what you are saying about the show-the 1st one I saw like that I cried and cried for the family and wondered what the dog was feeling being swapped out. Then I figured the dog was in a much better place and had a real chance at life.
